  1. Might be the molds were beyond quality products (?) It just makes those offerings more valuable to whoever that has them.
  2. Terry - seeing that promo almost brought a tear to my eye. I use to own a '59 fleetside. I like your idea , The rule of thumb is - You can Never go wrong with Spoke wheels !
  3. Denis- This is some seriously fine work. My hat is off to you on how you reworked the fenders. The truck looks great . This is something I have wanted to do for years as I like Ford trucks.
  4. Jan - I would not put a lot of faith into the AMT cover as that is an Artist's rendition . Angel's color comes as close to any color photographs of the real truck I have ever seen.
  5. Pat - I would saw that elevated platform floorpan off the frame. It is about 3mm higher then the frame. The mockup looks really good !
  6. Your driver looks pretty smug standing there. Nice work and great to see you back. I thought maybe you had been waiting for that load of oranges all this time.
  7. Rob - Thank you JT - Great to see you stopping by and Thank you ! Mike - I am Not claiming to be an expert or building an exact replica but I sure will help you with what I have figured out on this one. Gator - the tanks were way easier then modifying kit ones. Heck of a lot less sanding and filler work. Today's little project - Rear cab mounts. Once again I used my artistic license to manufacture these. The pads even pivot Thanks for looking in
  8. Chu - If your paint is gloss you can apply your decals without clear. If it is a semi gloss or flat finish any clear decal paper will silver and the decals will not adhere as well. The two tone looks great !
  9. Now that will be spectacular !
  10. Ken, very impressive. I like that you added the R-12 & R-14 valves.
  11. Thank you guys Mike that sounds like a real special build. Let me know if I can help you out with it. I searched and searched for suitable kit fuel tanks, nothing to be found. I made these out of pvc and styrene for the end caps and strapping. Thanks for looking in
  12. Those little stacks are cool, they just look plain tough !
  13. That is because they are so close to "O gauge" and model railroaders have deeper pockets
  14. I also like the trio of colors. You could paint the bottom half white , have two arches blue one from front and rear crossing over each other and red on the top half.... like this
  15. Ben - http://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/model_magazine_articles/car_modeller/cm17_jan_1993_updat/cm_1993_01_jan_01.html
  16. I agree - one of the Finest Snaps I have ever seen. Wow Angel this one really turned out fabulous. I am very envious of it
  17. Jeff I am not familiar with that method. I wait until the paint is air dry (not wet enough to smear or streak) and remove the tape. It is a New Year and I have decided to dedicate Sundays to older or forgotten projects. I have the cab interior installed and was able to mock this up for a picture. Next step is to start on the cab bling. I might have to get one of those nice grills from KJ for this. Thanks for looking in
  18. Yay KJ, I was searching for your in progress that showed this...
  19. Half and half , some graft the rear chassis to the frame others handy with a razor saw have cut it free,
  20. I have seen a few trucks made with the Snapper bagger. It looked to have worked really well. And with the price - you dont feel guilty cutting one up.
  21. Yeah , I will second that - thanks Dan ... ....... This is such a cool looking truck, it is really coming together !
  22. The mock-up looks great ! The CL-9000 is one of my most favorite semis.
  23. Gator - very cool idea. You better put a couple more rivets in that fishplate next time. I have always wanted that Pete kit, I hardly ever see them listed in the US .
  24. Vic - I can not wait to see how you decide to build your KW. It looks like you have a very nice work area . If your short some parts for your Louisville Hauler let me know. I bought one a while back for just the chassis.
  25. When I started this project I was using a computer drawing of a Reo Royale ,it was great for rough cab work. But my mistake was using it for vent dimensions, apparently they were exaggerated in size as to let you know they were there . So after round four (yes I made 4 different sets) I am satisfied with these. My other obstacle for the day was engineering the cab tilt. I did dislodge the right side vent window though But other then that I real happy today ! Thanks for looking in
