  1. Kinda like Schneider trucks huh ?
  2. That is one Fine looking Freightliner. I like the color combination.
  3. I dont like the looks of it and several other trucks out there now. Come to think of it there is not a newer car or pickup I would want to have either. I know that progress rolls on but I dont want to be involved with it. Clayton - my last two service trucks had auto's in them. (Freightliner Business class) I got to like that when driving through business routes. Those kind where every light is red.
  4. Tyrone Malone's trucks were seen sporting whitewalls before he had his name put on them. ( pre Bandag days ?)
  5. That is one sharp looking truck. Makes me think of a "Owner Operator" magazine feature around 1977
  6. Your wait is almost over and No More ebay $200.00 prices http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXEXEB&P=W
  7. Drilling and pinning can be challenging. You can also use a section of paper clip, bailing / mechanics wire glued in the groove on the offside of the axle for strength. The axle I repaired on the IH Coe I just used strips of styrene.
  8. Rick - that is a sharp looking 4070A , I would of never guessed that cab was never painted. How about a group pic of your "truck stop" ?
  9. I feel for you , I moved just a 1000 miles last summer - I still cant find anything. That is a sweet looking area you have for building !
  10. Andy - I went all over on that thing as there was no powder snow at that time. Hard packed snow (wind blown) and plowed dirt streets that were comparable to ice, which you could really get moving on and glide a long ways.
  11. I got to use one of those when my daughter was young. She sat on the seat and the little zig zag things are where you place your feet when not pushing or you can use one leg to glide along on. Great fun and they twist enough to steer. It was just referred to as a sled.
  12. Wow that is a super looking rig. I would hate to have to drive that one as there is too much to keep clean and polish !
  13. Goodwrench3 - This is the paint I refered to over at Hanks, I have never had any problems with any can and use them until they are empty. (there is no humidity where I live) The flat white as mentioned is also a good primer.
  14. I like this stuff, easy to use , easy to sand and sticks real well. You can find it at almost any auto parts store.
  15. Terry, this just gets better everytime I look. Wow - this is a Great Combo !
  16. Thank you guys, everytime I look at it I see all my mistakes . I mainly wanted to show off the "truck stop blue sparkle genuine accessory shift knob"
  17. Howdy Jeff, Welcome to a great forum with a lot of truck builders. Transmission color - I normally use a red , blue or black. Those are the colors I remember from working on class 8 trucks, Sometimes they were painted body color but it was obvious they had been painted with the truck.
  18. I got these in today straight from Tokyo Japan. These are awesome and I highly recommend them to anyone with a 1/32 Semi. The tires are rubber, great tread design Yokohama brand. Rear wheels have a choice of 4 hubs, front 3 hubs. Oh yes even comes with a spare tire (11 total) , rim and a mounting bracket. I have seen other sizes and wheel styles also. I got the 22.5 's
  19. I worked for a Construction / Mining Contractor that used the same scheme on all their Peterbilts. I have drug my feet on this chore as long as I could - I present to you the truckers office. Thanks for looking and commenting - Time to finish this one up
  20. I contacted Testor/ Rustoleum last month over the phone and they were right on top of my problem. (airbrush) Gave me an RO # and all went well.
  21. I stocked up on a few of these. My Son will be home on Leave for the month of May. He might want to build something.
  22. This is a spectacular WWS. I would have to say what grabs my attention the most is the grungy wheels. Top notch all the way
