  1. That is one fine looking work truck. Bonus points added for starting with an incomplete kit ! I really like the detail for the mirrors. Anything with a Detroit is alright by me
  2. Pavel - Very Nice ! Just in today Resin Reo V-63 conversion And this Hulk of a trailer
  3. Thanks guys for the comments on the scheme, I copied it from a B&W pic from a book I have. I really liked the way the cowl was also painted. Jarda - Thanks a million for posting those pics, they will be real valuable on my next one ! Do you have any pics of the front frame and the front spring hangers you could post ?
  4. The cab and hood now have color , got just a touch of white spray creep on the red. Hopefully when I lightly wetsand to blend the colors together I can eradicate it. If not I will just touch it up. Thanks for looking
  5. Always a minimum of two - so I can work on something while paint drys. Currently I have 4 1/2 going. Two are waiting for shiny parts to be Alclad'ed (airbrush is being repaired) and they will be finished. My half project is a shortened hood to have for a future project.
  6. If going with the chrome 5th wheel , dont forget the tierod , starter and fan !
  7. I use to get paid real good to build those model kits !
  8. Andre - panel line washes can be very challenging. I can pass on a few tips to make life easier. Starting with your paint an acrylic is a must. I add one drop of paint to a plastic spoon(cheap pallet) and two - three drops of 90% or better Isopropyl Alcohol for a thinned out solution. My preferred brush is a Tamiya 87049 . Just load the tip of the brush (no big drop) and let the solution flow into the seam. If you get a little on the outside no sweat especially if you have an enamel base. Ladies Makeup q-tips (pointed end) slightly damp are perfect for clean up . Using a thinned out solution may take more then one application but errors are easily cleaned up. This is coming from a guy who does not accent the panel lines on his trucks - but I use to on aircraft builds. The BMF work looks outstanding !
  9. I hear you there, I have to limit myself to about one visit a month . I am on crapity satellite internet here and I can use up my months alotment in no time looking at pics.
  10. Sam - I was just over at Tim's Trucks and over in the "Workbench - Random things being worked on " he shows the steering box inside the frame and how he did it.
  11. About 10 years from now I expect to see a Pete 351 completely made from alloys. Kinda like that WWII Corsair a guy made years back. That is some really fine craftsmanship Terry !
  12. Great job all the way around , what color did you use for the skin tone ? Painting the eyeliner would of made a wreck of me ! I have always wanted this kit myself but have had no luck finding one.
  13. Sam - I am by no means an 351 expert. I happened to come across a mid 60's 351 for sale and I remember the pic showing it inside. But - I am not 100% if it is located correctly - I wedged it between the bell housing and engine in a gap with lots of help from my file and sanding stick. But it is there and you cant see it for the fender anyway - one of those things for my entertainment and challenge. Terry - thanks , I kinda like the looks of a truck on the shelf with the wheels turned .
  14. Made a little more headway, here is my fancy modified inside frame steering box. After much trail and error I have the cab and hood sitting on the frame where I want it. Thanks for looking in
  15. Squared up the rear of the frame I also added an old grungy floor mat for the cab. Thanks for looking in
  16. That is some really fine work , great job on the fuse seam , the canopy and turrent masking is top notch. Hope to see some similar builds in the future !
  17. Very Impressive ! I really like the pic from a "few years" back , the pile of parts & the transformation back into the Wow factor.
  18. I like it - looks like a tough truck already. Great engine choice also !
  19. This is some really Stellar work going on here. Those sprockets are way cool. I dont know how many hrs you put into research , but it is really showing. I can almost recall the smell of grime and funk from those machines by looking at the pics
  20. This is great project. You really did a great job on the engine plumbing. I like the cab choice also
