  1. You lucky DOG you!
  2. Raymond, if you're still having issues after what I suggested, you may want to check here. This is software which should make transferring things a lot easier for your Samsung phone.
  3. Ok...........I'm going to try this again as I tried to post earlier, but got the stupid 404 Error! I have to go through a TOR browser to get this to post hopefully. Raymond, when you tried to plug in your phone via its USB cable, did the PC acknowledge it was loading drivers from your phone? Lack of doing this will keep it from operating on your OS and you can't do anything with it. Once those drivers are loaded, you can then go under Windows Explorer and see where your phone is located under Computer files. It should have its own letter drive designation...........ie: E. F G, H drive etc. Click on the file name of your phone (double click or right click and hit open) and you can from there see where your pics are located. Copy the pics from your phone's files and then you should be able to paste them in whatever folder you'd like. Actually, 'Droids should be easier to load pics from as you don't have to go through iTunes hell to get pics from certain folders for instance with iPhones. Lemme know if this works for you...........the loading of the drivers is important though. Windows 10 also should have a window pop up to let you know if you'd like to go to your phone's files when you first plug it in. If that's the case click on that and Windows Explorer automatically opens up to view those files. Hope all this helps!
  4. OK.............this is getting REALLY weird! I'm blocked from getting on this site using Firefox. I tried to respond to a post about a problem someone is having with uploading pics from their phone to their PC and POOF...........I got the 404 Error. No emojis, no crazy 'banned' words just would not load and I can't get into the site at all. First time it's happened since I moved nearly two months ago. Now, I'm using a TOR browser via the Brave browser, and I got in just fine. Go figure. I'm sure it has something to do with whatever I posted vs using now what's known as a somewhat VPN usage to getting in. Now I'll have to see if I can remember what I was trying to post earlier as it won't be saved under that particular topic unfortunately. This is getting to be a REAL PITA!
  5. For mold lines, I like to first sand them away, then put some liquid glue over the part that was sanded. The liquid glue will cause the sanded area to "ghost" and then after drying, I re-sand that area again getting rid of the plastic's "memory". Once painted that shouldn't reappear unless you're using a very hot automotive paint in which I'd strongly suggest using some kind of barrier coat in that instance. As far as the silver paint, you could try using perhaps Testors plain silver 'chrome' spray out of the can. Very fine pigments and it being a model paint would be very mild on the plastic. Hope this helps!
  6. I was surfing YouTube and came across this very interesting dealer promo film about the then new '57 Chrysler Imperial. Lots of comparisons done to the '57 Cadillac Series 62 sedan and it's interesting to see how they did things back in those days. No moving pictures..........everything was done in a "slide show" fashion, but neat to see just the same. Wouldn't it be just neat if we could get current kits of the Newport (shown later) and the '57 Imperial?? Modelhaus made one, but prices for those are simply outta sight these days! Enjoy!
  7. Yeah, I remember John Steed driving the Bentleys and such, but I distinctly remember a scene where he was driving one of those, and had to do a daredevil move to avoid something. I could be wrong, but I could swear it was an Avengers episode. The red one you show might have been the one with he was driving with Tara King. And oh yeah.............there was certainly no missing Emma Peel driving one of those Lotus Elans! Linda Thorson was not a bad actress at all, but she was no Emma Peel! ❤️❤️
  8. That's a real beauty Bill! I've not seen that one before, so it must be a rare one! BEAUTIFUL color and it's too bad that Round2 can't see fit to turn their '57 Chrysler 300C into one of these, or at least the '58 version of the car.
  9. I'll be watching this one as well! One of my favorite '60's British sports cars and I have this kit also but never touched it. I also have the huge 1/12 scale (Doyusha?) kit buried somewhere in the stash. That one is a real beast and heaven knows if or when I'd ever get to building it. Didn't John Steed drive one of these in the TV show "The Avengers"? I could have swore I seen it in a few episodes back when that show was on when I was a kid. ?
  10. Just got back home from seeing the movie and it's a DEFINITE must see! Not to give too much of the movie away, there are a couple scenes which had us in the audience burst out laughing. A certain "disagreement" between Miles and Shelby on the street corner was one of them. Oh yeah............the CARS! If for no other reason, those of us who remember what would have been on the streets back then would be impressed by some of the street scene cars that are shown from time to time. VERY good story line and I have to give credit to Matt Damon as Carroll Shelby and Christian Bale as Ken Miles. While neither one of them resemble the real life characters to a T, the acting is believable enough that both of them pulled it off very well. I don't remember the actor's name, but the fellow who played Enzo Ferrari was VERY believable! Right down to him speaking Italian...........had a couple laughs with him too in what he said! So on a rating of 1-10, I give this movie a solid 9. There are a couple car mistakes that had me cringing as there were a few that didn't "belong" there and some other flub ups. A highly recommended movie from me especially if you're a car guy.
  11. Aaaah Ok! I don't know why I have AMT on the mind. Guess it's because I have a couple of the new tool '67's and how much work that needs to make it right. Yes, a LOT more work for a conversion! As you mentioned not much sharing between the two model years ahead of the front wheel wells. Interiors are a bit different too as far as seat/door panel patterns.
  12. I commented earlier that the rear fenders on the four door are MUCH BETTER than the ones on the two door. That was one of the issues that kept me from building it along with a not quite correct DLO on the roof. And yes, '67-'68 original AMT coupes and convertibles can be outta sight price wise on the 'Bay! I had an original built up no paint '68 convertible that I sold a few years back because I lost interest in it. I got a pretty penny for just the built up alone and now I someday would like to find another one. It would be terrific if AMT could somehow see fit to bring back the '68. It seems somewhat feasible if that tooling is still around since an all new body would have had to be tooled for the '69. I'm not holding my breath though, but with the release of this new four door '67, I'm hoping we can keep on being surprised!
  13. Good question Mike. Seems to me that may not be the case as they're using pretty much the same parts save for the interior and body. I would imagine the tooling was made up for those parts and the rest just "shared". Of course, I'm no expert when it come to these things, so I can be totally out in left field! Thanks for the info about the wheels Ron! I have resin repops that were given to me............but I don't remember if they had the SS centers or not. I have no idea where the kit is now where they're located as I left most everything still in their boxes from the move, and more than likely will leave it that way since I don't have as much space in this house as the last place. I'll get curious down the road as this kit gets closer to reality (hopefully with no snags) and dig the kit up with the wheel covers.
  14. The last time I was in an AC Moore here locally (a few months ago), one of the employees there had such a bad/nasty attitude towards the customers and other staff that I was real close to telling her she needed to go back home and start over. ? That issue there is what can turn people off from brick and mortar stores........surly employees with an attitude that they really don't want to be there. You don't get that from ordering online. Easy-Peasy with just picking what you want, paying with your credit/debit card, and it showing up to your door. ESPECIALLY this time of the year leading up to Christmas!
  15. Frank, I have to wonder what prompted the brass at GM to kill the 455 SD version of this car. I suspect it was the looming ever higher insurance rates that was hurting other performance cars too. They would not have seen this coming, but the oil embargo which hit late in '73 all but doomed muscle cars for a period of time and didn't help matters. IIRC, Bill Mitchell was the main force behind the design of the A bodies. I thought I read once when he was interviewed in one of the mags............that the reason the cars looked the way they did (on the drawing board as early as '69), was so that they could take the big block engines with ease and other performance goodies. But like you said.........what might have been. To add insult to injury, when they brought the name back in the late '80's and stuck it on a (IMO) bland, uninspiring FWD sedan, that to me was the beginning of the end for Pontiac.
  16. While not exactly considered a muscle car today, original plans were to make this one with the High-Perf version which got nixed at the 11th hour. Still, I'd LOVE to have a GOOD glue kit of the 1973 Grand Am! Of all the new for 1973 A Body designs, IMO I think the Pontiac looked the best with the Olds coming in a close second for me. While the Chevelles were not bad, like you mentioned Tim, those bumpers killed it for me. Chevy did a better job with that car with the 1975-'76 Laguna S3. That's another one that I'd like to see done instead of the NASCAR which needs a ton of work to make stock among other things.
  17. Hmmm...........that's a good thought Rob! Definitely very similar in appearance. Just some tweaks here and there. ?
  18. Franklin Mints were 1/24 anyway, so if the larger size bugs you a bit, it would be better to get the engine out of a beat up kit just the same. It's too bad that both Franklin Mint and Danbury are out of the diecast car business. Franklin especially was getting really good in the latter years and I can only imagine prices will go up as they become more scarce in the years to come. Danbury was putting some AMAZING detail in their cars as I have a number of them. Judging by some of the asking (and getting) prices for their cars, I'd say that some of them are definite gold mines! I happen to have both of their '54 Cadillacs (coupe and convertible) and the prices for those now are CRAZY!
  19. Looks like Round2 captured the upper window line better than the diecast. That is not a bad piece at all though! I see some really good possibilities with this one.............sedan (roof surgery needed), wagon ('66 Chevelle wagon roof as a starting point?) and police car. Thanks Round 2! I've bought very few models this year----I'd sure like to add this one to my stash!
  20. Ok............never paid attention to the SS centers, but now I see what you guys are talking about. I just like that they're not rally wheels. Those just seemed to get overused on everything and it's nice to change things up once in a while. Maybe simple decals would fix that?
  21. Nice to see the old Lindberg '53 Ford back! That is one of their better kits in both the hardtop and convertible. Neat box art too.........a bonus is the Coke machine! The Dodge police car I may grab. I once owned a '76 Dodge Coronet four door, but I wouldn't necessarily want to build a replica of that car. I see other possibilities with that one that aren't made anywhere at the moment. Interesting that the '70 Chevy police car box art shows a car with this roofline.......... But the kit car has the Caprice "formal" roof. I like the one pictured better..........maybe if the ambition really strikes me someday, I'd do some extensive surgery on that one.
  22. I do believe the annual (and maybe the promo) did have those wheelcovers. I always liked those much better than the ever present rally wheels.
  23. One observation on the body that looks like it's been fixed, are the rear fender "creases". Those never looked quite right to me on the two door and it seems they're fixed on the four door. ?
  24. I have a set of those wheelcovers, but it would be nice if those were in the kit. I suspect that it'll be the wheels that the TV car has though. Perhaps down the road Chief Joseph might 3D print a set? ?
  25. Snake, from where I sit that looks pretty darn good to me! The sedan rooflines were a bit more "formal". Looks like Round 2 got this pretty much on the money. ?
