  1. Oooooh! Clean as a whistle! I like it! One can't have too many 'Vette models------nice collection you have there! While I never got quite used to the C7's looks, I'm gonna miss it since the new C8 will be out shortly. It would be one of the 'Vette's shorter lived generations that's for sure.
  2. I'm going to try and make that one this year. I won't have anything new to bring, but I missed the show last year due to work.
  3. Oh wow......I hope everything's OK with him! I know he's had some difficulties in the past so I hope all's well.
  4. OK, I must be losing my mind! I thought this was the 1/12 car as the box art looks almost exactly like the car on that box. But indeed it's 1/25 and one giveaway is that the 1/12 kit body has a curious dip in the windshield header which this doesn't. In answer to your question Dominick.............ROG's boxes are always a bit bigger than ours here in the US and you have to remember they're dealing with metric as opposed to our standard measurement.
  5. One thing about time.........you know time is definitely marching on when people you went to school with, you're now reading their obituary in the news. I just ran across someone's obit I went to school with and I hadn't seen in over 40 years and he had died the other day. No mention of what happened, but 58 is still pretty young considering.
  6. Yup! Time waits for no one and there's that saying that come to mind "The best laid plans of mice and men". Something like that!
  7. Aaahhh! One of Revell's nicer kits! I'll be watching this one! Too bad that Revell didn't do other 1/12's like this one. A '63 split window would have been nice........it would have been something if they got adventurous and made a 1/12 '57 T-Bird. Keep up the VERY nice work!
  8. Steve, I can certainly relate! My place got flooded in 2011 and not long ago we had another close call in this area. Very seriously considering moving in the next few months. It's one of the reasons my building has slowed waaaay down. I don't want to get too involved with a WIP only to have to pack it away and move things in the next few months. There's also the reality of the neighborhood changing for the worst. I've had not one but two shootings (one was literally the house next to me, the other next to them), and not long ago there was another 'incident' in my area. This is not how it was when I moved here in 2006. So, it's time to move on. Get another place that's not flood prone and hopefully something that's a tad more isolated with neighbors that aren't drama prone.
  9. OK, one week to go before I make the trek from here in Central PA to Wayne, NJ for NNL East! I'll be getting there the day before as I want to get there for the meet and greet Friday night. Hope to see you guys at the restaurant next Friday afternoon. Should be as usual a FANTASTIC show! So who's all going??
  10. SUPER gorgeous! LOVE the blue! I have several of those EM series kits but not this one. NNL East is next weekend and I may put that on my list.
  11. I see you turned it into a Bel Air........VERY NICE! ??
  12. Randy, I built this one many years ago and just a bit of a caution.......before you mount the wheels permanently, you may want to file the hubs down just a bit. I found my wheels to stick too close to the edge, whereas on the actual car they're slightly inboard. This is coming along GREAT and this is one of my favorite Fujimi kits along with the Daytona coupe. I've got both kits now and I'd like to build either one of them again someday.
  13. I've got a resin repop of the '64 Cutlass stillborn WIP which I will finish up hopefully before the year is out. I believe it was made by P&P?? I had a series of hood mishaps which nearly caused me to shelve it forever, but I think I got that licked now with a genuine plastic one. Other things are getting in the way right now in finishing it, so it'll be awhile.
  14. Wow Paul! I can't remember the last time I've seen one of those on the road! Those were once a staple of working class families and in fact, I believe when my Mom was learning to drive at the local driving school (circa 1967) that's what they had. That odd slanted B pillar sticks out in my mind. That would be one cool model to detail out!
  15. If it were me trying to shape this, I'd add some plastic to the side of the quarters and work from there. You can shape and sand to whatever contours you need.........you'd have enough of a base to do so.
  16. From what I understand (and what would make the most sense), the new AAR is going to be a modified reissue of the new tool 'Cuda. I have to wonder if that hoary tooling of the previous one is still around. The second go round of that one wasn't super horrendous----the first one was IMO absolutely TERRIBLE!
  17. Here are a few more shots of a '76 Cutlass formal roof. This can give you a better idea of how the rear window is shaped as they were all the same from '73-'77.
  18. Go to your original post and hit "Edit". You should be able to edit the original title from there since it's your initial post. If after three days however, that option goes away. If that happens, I'd just make a comment in your thread and mention it was found.
  19. When it comes to things on eBay, that can be a VERY true statement! It's said that eBay can be like waiting for the bus..........another one will come along if you missed the last one. Problem is, who knows how long that bus can take to arrive! The seller who was selling those Matador bodies was on eBay again BTW, but the auction(s) had ended literally just yesterday. Anyone interested, I'd save the seller if it were me and make it so that you'll get notified when he comes up with something new. His homepage on the 'Bay is here. I happen to see a '71 Imperial he had on auction, but with NNL East coming up and a possible VERY BIG ticket item I may buy there, I better watch the nickels and dimes.
  20. That and the DLO especially in the rear quarter window area.
  21. We talked about this before Tim, but I really hope on this issue they fixed the wheel well and roofline gaffes. Not a huge deal, but it can make what's a nice kit that much nicer.
  22. Offhand I can't think of any resin bumpers and such, but Missing Link does make a '74 GTO resin (same basic body). I've only seen them on eBay and I gotta tell you..........the bidding can get SUPER CRAZY as I've seen those go for a couple hundred dollars already! Take a look at a ended auction here..... I take it that they used a '69 Nova as a base to make this. Not a super hard conversion but getting the correct grille and bumpers might be tricky.
  23. Very nice and EXCELLENT job on the roof swap!
  24. I've got a number of kits of Chargers, but this is the only one I've built in all these years. Hard to believe this model's nearly 20 years old now!
