I just wanted to share with you some pics of one of my unfinished projects from 2006. This one is an Italeri Bugatti Coupe Napoleon. The one thing I love about this one and other similar kits, is that you have to set up the body, chasis and wheels piece by piece like a puzzle. Here's the first look at the parts trees: Next thing is the wheels... This is the Upper Body Assembly and some test fitting. To prep the parts for primmer, I used a flat sanding stick to scratch the surface and reveal the lower spots. I don't use putty often so I preffer to wet sand the whole thing and level the surfaces where the plastic is thick enough. Here you can see that the hood came molded with the top portion of the body where the windshield is attached. If you were to display the engine, you will have to remove the whole piece assembly wich is totally wrong for the real car. Now it looks better... Now that most of the ruff look of the upper body is sanded I lay it over the lower piece to match and glue all parts together. All right, now lets move to the chasis... All parts are line up and clean, so I lay them over the lower body, did some test fitting, sanding and glued all together. Here are some pics of the finished chasis sub assembly. All parts fitted nicely and as you may see the kit stands up right and all the wheels match the table. That's as far as the build went last year. It is already primmed and ready to paint but as I told you I moved to my new house and things are going very slow. I will take some pics later this weekend so you may see how the body work ended. Sorry for so many pics... hope you like it...

Hi Ismael, The Body painting was done using spray cans. I used a " Tamiya Silver Leaf " base, with two "mist " coats and two "wet " coats of "Tamiya Light Blue Metalic" on top. Then finished, with two coats of "Boyds Clearcote" with airbrush.

Not at all, it is a pretty straight forward build. Beside a couple of mold lines the only isue I found was a little fitting problem on the rear windshild. But a little sanding took care of it in no time. The kit is fantastic and the best part is the decals!!!!!!!!!! (made by Cartograph) Awesome decal detail and some very nice "photoecth" parts. If you like it, go ahead an grab one; beleive me, you would not be dissapointed.

Thanks, Marcos/Bill for your hospitality!!!!!!!!!!! If all goes well I will let you know... Here is a litle update on what's going on with the 63 Impala. I have all parts prep for primer but haven't got a chance to do it lately. While the painting is on hold, I decided to make and cut all the upholestry patterns. First I used Tamiya tape to lay them out and cut. After that I carefully removed the tape and placed over card stock paper to reshape, trace & cut. I use card stock instead of transfering the tape directly to the decal paper because it's easy to trace & correct without messing up the decals. Now that all the patterns are ready I can paint and start working on the interiors.
