  1. I also have my models around contest tables for about a year. Sometimes is difficult to get something finished due to work, family, wheather, etc., but this is the only way I can push myself to build something new every year. Is nice to win a trophy once and then, but I believe that the most rewarding thing about this hobbie is frienship... After that time I only put my models on exhibitions.
  2. Hi Bill, Try this link to see if you can find something usefull. http://www.toqinc.org/fords_downunder/

  6. It's been a while since I started this project, so I decided to open a new post to share with you a couple of progress pics. The body is finally painted with it's original color "Sungate Ivory". I already polished it and just need to finish the two tone interior, install the bumpers and a couple of more details and this one will be off the bench Hope you like it and thanks for looking!!!!
  7. Exelent work as usual jeff!!!!!!!! I am sure this is going to be another stunning build... Keep us posted!!!!!!
  8. Congratulations Ismael, man... the look on your face just speaks by itself !!!!!!!!!!! I personally know how exited you were before leaving and is great to see that everything went beyond your expectations... Just be careful, as your body may start to slow down RPM's in a couple of days so... keep your food on "HIGH OCTANE" diet and watch your "BOOST PRESSURE" once in a while... Take care buddy...
  9. OK, I will go for Real this time... just because of the wiring and all the nuts and bolts.
  10. That is a beautiful job for a rattle can!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am confident she has a winner in her hands... My congrats to both of you... I know what you are talking about, I have two kids and both build a model or two through the year. Is great to see them focusing on something else rather than television or a videogame once in a while. We really enjoy building something together and beleive me, there is nothing in this world that can be as rewarding as the smile on their faces, when the las piece is glued in... Like you said, "Lord knows about them teen years to come!!" but untill then I'll just sit back and enjoy the ride... Keep up the good work and don't forget those pics on the other projects!!!!!!!!!
  11. Looks great so far... Keep us posted on the progress!!!!!!

  14. Cool project Ismael!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks really nice man...
  15. Just fix it and leave it as is, you will always be able to build a second one with tons of mods... Leave it as is, not because of the paint or any other thing, but just because regardless of any flaw, each and every one of your builds has its own personality, so just keep it like that and enjoy it like we all do. Luis Ayala

  20. Thank you all for your comments!!!!!!!!!!! I am glad you like it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really enjoy this kind of projects, I have a couple of more detailed projects on the bench, but getting the hands on this quick builds really hit the spot. This one took me 6 days working about 2 hours a day to get it done. I definately agree with Zoom Zoom, the first time I entered a forum, I was scrolling down the board banging my head on the bench trying to catch up with the "lingo"... Again, thank you all for taking some time to check it out...
  21. I Just wanted to share a couple of pics of another "Box Stock" project. This one is the re-issue of the 1948 monogram kit. Special thanks to my good friend Marcos Cruz who sent me two of this kits as a gift. Buit it mostly "Box Stock" exept for the BMF. Paint is Tamiya Maroon top coated with "Boyds Clearcote. It is far from perfect but I am very happy with the results. Hope you like it and thanks for looking

  23. Thank you all for your comments!!!!!!!!! I am very happy to have this small local forum up and running for the past two years. As Barbo said, is a mostly spanish speaking forum that helps the local modelers at PR, by giving them a space on the web to talk about our beloved hobby. The main goal is to promote our hobby and help modelers to develop their skills by sharing "tech-tips" and posting proyects. I am an active member in a couple of boards related to scale building and 1:1 cars and I enjoy each and every one of them. Thank you all for your support and for your friendship. I know that with your help we will keep it running for years to come. Best Regads, Luis Ayala
