  1. This is cool --- nice theme build!!!
  2. The chrome is sometimes a bit of a BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH shoot at best --- It is after all still a pretty old tool ---despite some new(er) parts that have been added --- Some of the re-issues have very nice chrome but the flash flaw still remains -- a function of the age of the mold more than the quality of the chrome plating ---- (If the flash is not too large I shave it off with a razor blade or new #11 blade and touch up with a silver calligraphy pen --- works well for the smaller areas..) By the way ----------Your drag car chassis looks really good so far ---!!! Post some finished pics too!!!
  3. The flat head should be no big deal --- several kits have them --- Yeah it would have been nice to have a stock engine included but then again there are many around --- the 50 Ford pick up being the obvious choice --- too bad they didn't just toss that into the box but oh well ----- I will still buy a second and third of this kit for different builds ---
  4. This is a great kit --- re-issued many many many times over the years in both coupe and convertible styles. The biggest issues are the promo style chassis and the molded in seats --- as observed by Curt (62rebel) painting goes a long way with this one... With some attention to detail the little fulie motor can look really good and you can work around the seat issue --- there is an excellent set in the Revell 63 Coupe snap kit --- but that seems a bit crazy since you still have a chassis issue ---- I suppose you could substitute the Revell 67 chassis but be aware that from 65 and up the front cross member was different to accommodate the new big blocks of the time ---several other details too but there is a ton of 63 documentation out there --- same for all of the mid-years 63-67 -------------I notice this version includes the correct dual snorkel air cleaner for the base 250 HP and optional 300 HP motors... nice touch ---if yo want to do a 340 HP version the air cleaner will be an issue --- I have used the Weber carbs on several other projects and they look pretty good when detailed ---the mags are nice too ---

  9. Very cool!! Love the old AMT kits!!!
  10. Nice!!! Proof positive that with a little attention to detail and some focus the old AMT 40 Ford really is quite good!!!
  11. Put it up on some old plastic AMT blocks (found in many old kits) --- mount it in a plastic display case and put your dad's name on it (maybe his photo in the back of the case ---- keep it forever --- it is too cool to mess with !!!
  12. This is fantastic!!!!
  13. I love it when these period kits get built as originally intended!!! So nice!!!
  14. A curb-side --- WOW!!! What's not to like here??? This thing captures the "look" spot on!!!! Look at this build --- it really is what it is all about!!! Nice!!! Regards Bill (Duntov)
  15. Nice work!!!
  16. If the Model T is anything close to the Cabriolet I will have to have one (or two --- or----)!!! I have the Cabriolet and it is just a very fine kit. Hint on the Cabriolet --- if you want to get one get the up-top version as it has the parts for the boot (open top build) in the kit as well so you get the best of both !!! Very nice kit --- pricey but worth it --- kind of in the class of the Galaxie products...
  17. This is just pure class --- inventive --- classy --- very nice!!!!
  18. This is some serious cool Rich!!!!
  19. Sam!!! You really nailed this one--- big time!!! I really like the simple builds --- as you said ---"just a basic build and I like it"----that equals success!!!! Regards Bill (Duntov)
  20. This is absolutely fantastic!!! Very nice work here!!!
  21. No worries my friend --- glad you like it ---- !!
  22. This is really cool --- I like it a lot---- What is amazing is the sheer size of this car compared to everything else-- You nailed the look of this one!!!
  23. Ron---- I was really dreaming here --- my apologies --- I was thinking about a different car --- totally different actually --- correction made!!! Regards Bill
  24. Yep ---you are correct Ron --- but then again I have had at least one glass of wine already!!!!! Bill
