  1. Thanks!!!....The 427 and GS convertible cars would be easy to do as models as they are essentially the same body style.....with a different engine... both run the Z16 suspension.... hence the popularity of the Grand Sport.... you can get a GS for about $30 - $40K less than the 427 car and it is still a 4 second 0 to 60 car ....... the only real difference is the 378CUI - 436HP engine in the GS vs. the 427CUI motor at 505 HP..... both are rockets!!!!
  2. Hey Michel.... Nice work here my friend.... I really like these showroom replica cars......you did a great job on this one!!! Looks like the Tamiya color and Testors laquer is a winner!!! Regards Bill (Duntov)
  3. One of the things that is interesting and at the same time frustrating is that the model companies seem to completely understand how to put wheels (especially) and several other chrome parts on the tree with the connecting lugs in paces that will not damage the visible finish. (....in the SNAP style / curbside kits like this one)...... BUT they just can't seem to translate that to the much more expensive glue kits..... This has been going on for some time.....
  4. I agree.... I wish they would do a GS body..... Coupe and Roadster..... Then I could build my 1:1 car..... It is one of several of my 1:1 cars that I have not been able to build.... hope they do it soon.... But with the 2014's in the pipe-ine already I really doubt it will happen.....we will no doubt see a "Show-room" replica of the 2014 by mid-summer..... One of four of my "real ones"........
  5. Even at $1.98 in the sixties ..... this was "THE" screamin deal of the century!!!!! I managed to get my hands on two of them...... Not really sure here but just for the record I "THINK" the original was closer to 1/20th scale.... not 1/24th...... Personally, I would like to see a "STRAIGHT RE-ISSUE" in the original scale....... 6. You need to step outside of your comfort zone more often..... this is some nice work....

  14. Wow...this is really nice overall....but the little things really set it off..... like no two wheels being exactly the same.... Nice touch!!! Regards Bill (Duntov)
  15. Here is an update on this build... it has been a while... NOT stalled mind you just can't get off the air planes long enough to get consistent work on it.... So here goes.... color is on... simple Tamiya Maroon...right out of the can...needs to be rubbed out.... Also a shot of the engine bay...very muted but looks good.... also added the hard bed cover Final assembly is pending...... Overall Color.... Engine bay shot.... some details to add as well.....

  22. Thanks Jeff... glad you noticed the spinners... I forgot to mention them... I don't recall where I found them..... lots and lots of boxes full of stuff and they looked good )
  23. Wow...I like this one.... very well done...clean and very believable!!! Regards Bill (Duntov)
  24. Thanks Virgil.... I have been playing swapo-chango with every wheel and tire set I have to see if I can come up with something.... I will use these skinny ones though..... they look very good but just seem a bit short in overall profile.... that may be an illusion between a wide and skinny white though too.... I am sure Rick can sort it out..... Nice build by the way..... I have those 50 Chevy kits stashed under my desk as well.... those and the Revell 32 Fords seem to multiply when left alone in the stash area.... ) Later Bill
