  1. A few more???.............................................................................
  2. Yes, I know the builder and he used the hull from a PT boat to build that model.
  3. Harry, there is a "wealth" of information on this forum, without a doubt.
  4. We also took old newspapers to the "junk yard" for money as well.
  5. Very nice build on that GTX Sam, and I just love dem Mopars!
  6. I recently finished this Revell '64 Chevy Fleetside Pickup that I had started back in the late 90's. I used Dupli-Color GM Bright Aqua Metallic and Wimbeldon White. It is pretty much "box stock."
  7. Very nice job on that Firebird, and here I thought that mine came out nice? Great job!
  8. Try Hart's Parts.
  9. I remember seeing a couple of shows at the Riviera back in '04 and or '09, and one was Trent Carlini where we had front row center seats. It was awesome.
  10. I went to the movies with my "better half" and we saw The Bridge of Spies. If one pays attention, there are lots of mid 50-late 50's cars in that movie.
  11. How 'bout a '39 Ford Sedan gasser???..........................................................................
  12. SEVEN bucks for a new mouse? Harry we have a chipmunk around here that I would've given you for FREE. LOL!
  13. Dan, that would "irk" me too as there always seems to be money for projects but never enough for the things that are supposed to be taken care of first. I know where you're comin' from.
  14. Well, we all do or have done stupid things at one time or another. I myself would pull the chrome plated parts off, scrape or sand most of the old glue off both the block and the parts, and paint the engine. When dry, I would re-glue the chrome plated pieces back on.
  15. Thanks for the comment guys, and I believe the engine is the 392 Hemi from the Revell Willys kit. The paint is Acapulco Blue Metallic Testors spray paint.
  16. I finished mine for the AMG Milwaukee NNL this past April..............................................
  17. How 'bout another one....................................................
  18. Yes they are great pics and I wish that I had visited southern California back in the 60's. But it was a long way from the Midwest, and my parents really didn't have much money for cross-country vacations at the time.
  19. Ken, I should be at the Milwaukee Miniature Motors Swap Meet & Model Car contest in Waukesha on Dec. 6th, and also at the Du Page Show in February. At least that's the plan.
  20. Thanks guys, as none of them are detailed to the max and they are not "contest models."
  21. The year is not molded into the bumpers, but rather in the license plate area both front and rear.
  22. Here's a couple photos of some annual kit boxes Harry.....................................
  23. Harry, back in the late 50's and also in the 60's, model companies such as AMT, SMP, and JoHan offered "annual" kits such as a '58 Chevy, then the '59 Chevy, then the 'Chevy, or Ford, Pontiac, Buick, etc. Just like a real car (1:1) dealership. your local hobby shop offered a new Ford for that year and the new model in the next year to follow. A boys dad could buy a brand new Buick at the dealership every year, and the kid could do the same thing at his local hobby shop. Later on in the mid-60's (?) MPC also jumped on the 'annual" bandwagon and produced some brands of cars in model kit form every year as well. I hope this helps and answers your question.
  24. Here's a few pics of some of my drag racing builds
  25. Let's try this 935k3 as I was just able to post a "test shot" a few minutes ago..................................
