Yeah I know Carl as I got on the internet this morning to have some photos printed up and Walgreens wouldn't take my password. Seems like every time I order photos, I have to change my password. Called customer service again and they gave me some more BS and wanted me to get another new password and then I hung up on them.

Yes, Decals by Lucas has them as I bought some earlier this year. Another project I'd like to do as well.

Good advice Danno, as I missed buying a '65 Plymouth Satellite because I didn't have my finances in order. After that loss I was ready to buy even though it took me 'bout a year to find my ride.

I've used Testors, Black Gold, and MCW over Tamiya paints with no problems.

As the "car season" winds down in these parts, I'm pleased that I was able to get my ride out the last three days in a row for either a cruise night or a car show. It's gonna be a long winter when I put it away for five months.

Might be easier to use a plastic one from a Monogram kit, no?

Trans Am Camaro' Mustangs, etc. where "PONY cars" and not muscle cars. MUSCLE cars where intermediate bodies such as Tempests, Cutlass, Chevelle, Satellite, Coronet, etc. with a big engine and very little frills and to be affordable to the MASSES.

The Du Page Swap Meet & Toy Show is tomorrow Sunday the 27th at the Du Page County Fairgrounds in Wheaton, Illinois. I believe it runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In the mid-50's I started building model airplanes, ships, military, and rockets. Then in the late 50's I was attracted to model cars, and the rest is history. I got into cars myself as I didn't have an older brother and my dad wasn't into cars either.

Yes Harry, I've also been to Bill's Hobby Shop more times than I can count, in fact he used to be on Fullerton & Harding before relocating a little further east. And Joe it sounds like you've been "hobby shoppin" back in the 50's, no? LOTS of great memories of time spent at hobby shops "back-in-the-day."

I do think that we're in s good time of this hobby with new kits becoming available and also some old kits being re-issued as well. We have two great model car magazines, LOTs of resin kits, bodies, parts, and LOTS of aftermarket companies as well supplying us with paint, decals, tools, etc. But I think that we're almost at the "peak" as when some of us "boomers" start leaving this world and not nearly enough of the younger generation to replace us, I believe the plastic model kit hobby is going to see a downward spiral. Just my thoughts on this subject and no reason to get upset, in fact just continue to enjoy this hobby of ours.
