  1. Yes, I would be interested in a wagon if I ever came across one. I remember those kits from "back-in-the-day."
  2. Hey guys, don't forget 'bout the S.L.A.M. club meeting tomorrow at Rickie's Rods in Delavan from 6 - 9 p.m. It'll be the last one on Thursdays as we return to Saturday meetings next month. Hope to see y'all there.
  3. Real nice pair of Plymouths Randy, and I just love dem Mopars!
  4. I already have a few really nice Modelhaus pieces and if they close up, then maybe I would try harder to build them. The same goes for the rest of my "stash" as well. If the model companies go "belly up I'll still have enough kits to build in the future. I can easily do without the release of any new kits and also of any future re-issued kits as well. I've come to terms with myself that I'm not going to keep piling kits on my "stash" just 'cause I like 'em. Trading cash for plastic is gettin' old.
  5. I would like that kit, however I have a few dragster kits in my "stash" and wonder if I'll ever get around to building them.
  6. The Good, The Bad, & the Ugly is one of my favorite all time movies. I also like the movie Gran Torino.
  7. I started building model kits back in the 50's for fun, and I still do so today. I ENJOY the hobby and if a kit is "off a hair," I really don't care. There are many modelers who cry 'bout EVERYTHING including more kits, when they have 1,000 to build. And having a huge "stash" of un-built kits if one isn't a "dealer," only shows that the person knows how to spend money. To me, some people take this "hobby" WAY too seriously.
  8. Aaaaaa, never mind I just remembered that we have to keep it P.G. rated.
  9. I would just touch it up with some brush painting, and call it a day. Who's gonna see it???
  10. Lookin' good Marcos as I'm hopin to get back to my '57 Ford sometime soon.
  11. Rules & regulations are only followed by people who want to follow them. Others just do as they please in this "Hurray for me FY" world. I've noticed over the years that some police officers think that they're "above the law" as well.
  12. Lookin' good and the "slip 'n slide" Powerglide was a popular trans back then.
  13. Mine should arrive tomorrow (Fri.) along with the Satellite kit. This is the first time I've ordered kits on the internet since two years ago, as I usually support my LHS.
  14. Rich, I don't blame you for being irked as $150 per month for ONE medication is a scary cost, and you know that it's not going to go down. The profit on drugs and many other things is called GREED!
  15. I have a very good and long time (56 years) friend who's a retired cop, and I'm sure glad that he's retired as some people out there are just plain nuts.
  16. Is that what they call the "concert police?" This isn't the 60's anymore as people are a LOT different today, than when some of us were growing up, or at least getting older.
  17. After spending the day on Sunday with a bunch of friends at a car show, being with my grandson who turned TWO years old and having a cake for him and presents also. Priceless!
  18. Yep Tom, a LOT of people now days have that "Hurray for me FY" attitude not only at concerts but on the road also.
  19. There's a Ramcharger dragster on the cover as I picked it up the other day.
  20. Yes they do as I received one from them last year.
  21. Bandit Resins used to cast a '60 El Camino body, but I guess the mold got too worn out.
  22. I'm buying the upcoming Comet kit no matter what it looks like. I'm a modeler and I ENJOY this hobby.
  23. Yes, as a friend of mine just returned from there and said they now only use TWO ice cubes in every mixed drink.
  24. Driving home tonight a guy in front of me is waiting to make a right hand turn, and wouldn't make a right on red 'cause he had to go across three lanes. Sooooo I had to WAIT for this clown to make his turn, of course I did use my jand held "air horn" in case he was sleeping. Guess I'll be havin' and air horn installed on my new truck whenever I get it.
  25. You're right 'bout that Pete, as a lot of our produce comes from California, and you can see those produce farms from Hwy 1 going north to Santa Barbara.
