  1. Nice pair of Deuces John, and I use "rattle cans" exclusively. It seems to work for me.
  2. Yank his license, as he's NO "professional driver."
  3. Everybody has their troubles, and it is not for us to judge them.
  4. I'll bet that there's a LOT of that child endangerment going on that many people don't see.
  5. Air drying seems to work for me.
  6. Congrats Wayne, you're doin' good, real good!
  7. Scott, over the years I have worked on EVERY holiday there is. Just "suck it up" and do it, or quit. Many other people have to work on the 4th of July as well, as this country just doesn't stop because it's a holiday.
  8. Frank, there are a few Meijer Stores in the Milwaukee area so check them out, as they are a LOT more than a grocery store. And let us know the price of the Dupli-Color Clear. Thanks.
  9. For sanding primer before applying color coats, I usually go over the primer lightly with 600 or 1000 grit and it seems to work just fine.
  10. I used to chew Nicorette (?) chewing gum when I first quit smoking, and after awhile it tasted so bad that I didn't want the gum or the ciggies. Whenever I go to a doctors office and they ask me if I smoke, I look at them as if they're nutz.
  11. Frank, it's AUTOMOTIVE paint, so it would be in the "automotive" department. I hope this helps.
  12. I'm currently painting a truck model with Dupli-Color, and so far it's lookin' good. I haven't decided whether I'm gona use Tamiya or Testors Clear over the paint.
  13. A member of our club ordered a lot of BMF direct, and sold it to us for $7 a sheet which is pretty good.
  14. I was at my LHS today and no Del Rio, however I can wait as I've got plenty of plastic to keep me occupied for a LONG time. The '57 Ford Ranchero will probably be tooled up next by Revell, as it is a "given" and I'll lay odds on that as well.
  15. I was able to pick up a pair of Xuron 9180E scissors today at my LHS and now have an addition to my tool drawer. Thanks for your recommendations.
  16. I was pleased today as I got a $25 discount for renewing my drivers license at the DMV today. Guess it was the "seniors discount." LOL! My wife renewed hers today also, but it'll be a few years before she get's that kind of a deal. We both had to take the vision test, but we moved through the process pretty quickly, and out the door in a short amount of time. We then went to Portillo's for lunch. I want to do a cruise night tonight, but the weather looks "iffy" AGAIN, oh well.
  17. Good luck on your quitting smoking Stephen as it is a tough road ahead, but it's the way to go. I've been smoke-free for 30+ years and "I'm lovin' it."
  18. That's great news Carl as my brother passed at age 54 eleven years ago. May your brother have many more and healthy birthdays.
  19. Yes it is rather cool and looks like an awesome ride.
  20. I ENJOY building in my own "comfort level" and a lot of times if ne makes a mistake and doesn't tell others, they'll never notice it. I build for myself, and I also enjoy showing my models at club meetings and NNL's.
  21. Not all the time, but sometimes you can renew your drivers license by mail.
  22. Wow Terry that's a LOT of truck projects and all are lookin' good. I've built a couple of trucks back in the late 70's, early 80's and decided that they take up too much room. I had even subscribed to Overdrive magazine at the time for reference photos also. Keep up the good work, and work on what you feel like. After all, it is a hobby.
  23. Welcome to the forum Paul, as it is a great place to be.
  24. You may be able to get some R & R stuff through Steve Kohler at Star Models, as I did just last week.
  25. WHY? There's really no need to spray clear over the decals, as not only is it a waste of time & money it ads coats to the model. I try to use as little paint as possible when I paint. Light coats of primer, just enough color coats, and just enough clear coats, so that I can polish out the paint, without going through the color coats.
