  1. It pleased me tonight to check out a new (to me) cruise night. 400+ cars, LOTS of people, great food, great music, seeing some old friends with cars and meeting new ones. Guess I'll have to go back.
  2. They do keep an inventory of parts as when they come to show, they're loaded for "bear."
  3. Well, I'm NOT waiting for any new kits to be issued or any to be re-issued as I have plenty to build at the rate I'm goin'. I'm also gettin' tired of "stock piling" kits as well. What I have already have, has taken enough room in my house and ca$h out of my wallet.
  4. Chicagoland dry? Guess again. Chicagoland dry? Guess again.
  5. Bring it on!!!
  6. That pleases me also, and ya think that there'll be a few beers sold in Chicago tonight??? Party on!
  7. I know of a guy who has spare bedrooms which to me would make and ideal model room. He instead chooses to work in the basement and seldom gets down there, so what's the point? I have a spare bedroom that I use for a den/hobby shop and it has worked great for over 20 years. Right now you can't tell that I build models in there, however I can open a drawer and have my tools and a kit to work on out on the desk in 5 minutes or less, and I can clean the area up in the same amount of time as well. I also use this den to read, pay bills, watch some TV, yak on the phone, use my computer, etc. It seems to work for me.
  8. From Modelhaus? They would look very good. I would call them and check on the availability before ordering though.
  9. I use Rustoleum Silver-Aluminum, and works good as I got the can of paint for free.
  10. 3-D printing is something WAY more expensive than I want to put into this hobby, and over the years I've seem to be doing fine without it. I do have other interest besides building model cars.
  11. I have a few of the MCW resin kits, however I have not built any of them as yet. They do look good though, and if they have a specific car that you like, it might be "the only game in town."
  12. That is just beautiful Bernard, awesome build on that dragster!
  13. Nice job on that Silverado as I owned one for 'bout 8 years. Mine was a longbed as I needed it for work. It also took me to the NNL in Toledo a couple of times as well as the drag strips, and the Goodguys Show in Indy a few times as well. I hated to get rid of it.
  14. The guy that drove Gabby's car was his friend Chris "The Greek" Karamazines.
  15. Yes this country is experiencing many changes, and not all are for the best. In fact some are going to be very harmful down the road.
  16. I've been tryin' to buy less and build more. Trading dollars for boxes of plastic is "gettin' old" for me.
  17. I need to build mine to go with Milner's Deuce.
  18. One more win to go for the Stanley Cup. Say doesn't Stanley make tools also?
  19. Thanks Tom, as now I might be getting the body and the decals for the project, which I don't need another. LOL! I don't know if that's good or bad???
  20. You're right about that Ace, I mean when you go to McDonald's and they can't put the product on the center of the bun, and they want even MOTR money. Give me a break!
  21. Yes I did look on the Altered States website and they do offer a Bantam Coupe body, but I don't know who does the decals.
  22. Ya gotta remember Tom, that this isn't the 60's anymore. Things have changed since then and are WAY different.
  23. It was something to see as Gabby's car was called Psycho, and for good reason. LOL! Someone had made an nice model of that car, and I have a couple of pics also. Sure would make a good project.
  24. You're not going to find stores that are "over staffed" anymore as it is way too costly to operate a business like that these days.
