  1. Good luck Scott, and I hope that it works out for you.
  2. Garth can afford to take the loss, believe me.
  3. An excellent build there Brent, and great choice in modeling subject as well.
  4. I wouldn't call them street cars if they can't be driven from Chicago to L.A.
  5. I'm with you Lee, when I'm going somewhere I'll get there when I arrive. SIMPLE.
  6. Frank, I decant all those brands you mentioned by simply spraying on the models, and it works just great.
  7. Speed City Resin has some great "cheater slicks" in a few different sizes.
  8. Although I like the '65 Satellites very much and there was a "drop-dead-gorgeous" one parked next to me last night at a cruise night. The Moebius kit whenever it gets here won't change my life one bit, as it's just another kit, and hopefully I'll get around to building it, just like all the rest of my model kits.
  9. Oh, the title said old Pontiacs and I was expecting late 50's early 60's cars. Nice lookin' builds though.
  10. A friend of mine has ALL of those Aurora kits you've posted, and maybe some doubles as well.
  11. Well you can always go as fast as you want on any given road, however there may be penalties.
  12. I went to a cruise night tonight and saw a lot of old friends and met some new ones. Some really nice cars in the bunch as well. It sure beats stayin' home and watchin' TV.
  13. 1. Open 2. No 3. In some contest they do, and in others they don't. Sometimes there's a question on your entry form asking permission for the judges to do this or not.
  14. Back-in-the-day I had to break the vent windows in both my car and my parents car as I had locked the keys in them. Then while at work I had to use a slim-jim to open the lock on my truck as I had also locked the keys in the truck as well. I eventually carried a spare key in my wallet also.
  15. Hawks win? Well of course they did, what else would you expect?
  16. Sure some of the OOP kits are rare & pricey, but the "bottom line" is whether you want it or you don't. You could wait a lifetime to find your holy grail kit at a decent price and never get it.
  17. VERY nice build on that "Bullet Bird."
  18. Very nice builds guys, as I just love dem Mopars!
  19. I picked up my copy 'bout a week ago, and it is another great issue. I really like their coverage of The GOLDEN AGE of Drag Racing series very much as I started going to the drag strips back in the mid-60's.
  20. Yes, I'm flying the flag today, as back-in-the- day Memorial Day was ALWAYS on May 30th, and it is also the birthdate of my late brother as well.
  21. Wire wheels is a good choice for man cars, and the '60 Desoto is a great choice for your upcoming build.
  22. I learned a lot of names of parts associated with real cars when I was a kid. Model car building definitely fueled my fire for 1:1 cars. I do sometimes believe that the person drawing up the instructions NEVER built the kit.
  23. VERY nice, but what happened to the straight axle and Moon tank? LOL!
  24. Although it's hot out today, I was able to cut my lawn and that pleases me.
