  2. Tonight's meeting was great with lots of members, a packed display table with some great builds, and the camaraderie is always good too. Good to see all you guys there tonight.
  3. Very nice job on that funny car Jason, and welcome to the forum as this is a great place to be.
  4. I got to enjoy our monthly club meeting tonight, with 'bout 5o people, lots of car models on the display table, and great camaraderie.
  5. Since I have plenty of plastic kits to build, whenever the strike is over and new kits arrive is alright with me.
  6. The factory in Korea that's producing this kit is closed during the months of January and February due to the cold weather. I'm assuming that there's no heat in the plant???
  7. Really nice job on that car John, as I'm a big fan of Hooters Restaurants and was just there on Wednesday of this week. I also have the Alan Kulwicki kit in my stash, and hopefully will build it someday?
  8. Last I heard on the release of this kit, is in the second quarter of this year. Hopefully I'll find out more at the meeting tomorrow night.
  9. Interesting, as I wish that the cops would arrest people here that walk on streets when there is no snow on the walks. Where am I supposed to drive on the sidewalk???
  10. On account of the World of Wheels Show, the next S.L.A.M. meeting is scheduled for February 28th.
  11. Is that from the movie Dumb & Dumber?
  12. Yes guys, Craig and I plan on being at the meeting on Friday night.
  13. After recently picking up the latest issues of Elapsed Times and Hot Rod Deluxe, I'm good for now as far as mags go. Thannks!
  14. I was at the Greenfield News & Hobby shop with Craig today for the start of their "clearance sale" and it was mobbed. Picked up a couple of things, but not much as I'm pretty well stocked. Of course while we were in the neighborhood we also stopped at the "Empire" for a bit, and then to the Brookfield Hooters for lunch. Ya just gotta love dem wings.
  15. Welcome to the forum Ernie, as this is a great place to be.
  16. Your Aluma Coupe is lookin' good Tim, and seeing your build gets my gears churnin' 'bout the Aluma Coupe kit that I have in my "stash." Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.
  17. I don't think that the girl figure was plannin' on being stuck in the mud. So much for havin' a Jeep.
  18. I kinda like the idea of the Ford Raptor kit and it may be a good seller. Revell is also using the Raptor kit in their Make 'N Take program also. If the idea of "stickers" instead of decals bother you, you can always send them to me, and thanks!
  19. While I had the Mongoose Duster Funny Car kit before, I guess I had sold it somewhere down the line. After I finally saw the movie The Snake & Mongoose, I had to have it again so I bought it at one of my FAVE hobby shops today that was having a "clearance sale" as they're going out of business soon. Now will I build it???
  20. Help? No I have to take care of this old back of mine. Sorry.
  21. Good advice Pete, the paint job is the result of the painter, and not the paint.
  22. Just got my order from Scale Equipment Ltd. today which was only a two week turnaround. Not bad as I wasn't needing it for awhile, as I'm deep into another project for now.
  23. VERY nice lookin' bunch of builds Paul, great job!
  24. You bet Ron, we'll take care of it and also have some Portillo's beef sandwiches and fries waiting for your arrival at the airport. Sounds like a plan???
