  1. Seattle? I thought the Super Bowl was being held in Arizona Bill, no?
  2. Well, well, well, if it isn't Lance Rogers former member of the Old Town Escorts of Chicago. My it's been a long time. I heard many years ago that you moved out to Colorado, but nothing since then. Where in Colorado do you live as I have a good buddy that lives in Aurora, but I haven't been there since '05. Send me a message and we can "chat."
  3. While I'm not a "bowtie man," that Camaro looks awesome. Dick Harrell used to have Nickey Chevrolet of Chicago as one of his major sponsors and I only lived a couple miles from the dealership when I was young. Therefore I got to see his race car in the shop as well as a lot of "high performance" Chevrolets as well.
  4. I believe the fixtures and paint racks will be sold as well as all merchandise. Why would they keep them if they're not selling the business and going out of business?
  5. The Colts are playing like they're in high school, and from what I've seen of the two games today, the Patriots already have the Super Bowl wrapped up.
  6. They want to show (brag) about what they have??? A vendor has to get up early, drive to the show, pay for the table, set up, stand around ALL day, and then pack up and drive home. All that for show, I think not. You must not have ever been a vendor.
  7. Sports are played with balls MIles, and even drag racing takes TWO balls. In hockey they use a puck, and the only thing that resembles a puck is the mint in the urinal.
  8. I'm havin' trouble finding a copy of Elapsed Times, but I'll get mine this week. I saw the cover at a club meeting yesterday and I know what to look for.
  9. I don't have any problems at the swap meet with the vendors or the crowds at all. I usually go with a couple of friends and we do our shopping and catch up with old acquaintances, chat, walk around "one more time," and then go to Hooters or The Tilted Kilt for lunch. Sure some kits might be overpriced, but the bottom line is either you want that kit, or you don't. If you go home "empty handed," so be it, as I'm sure you guys have plenty left to build.
  10. Their sale starts on Feb. 2nd, I heard that it was on Feb. 4th, no?
  11. I got gas for my truck today in "cheeseland" for $1.89 a gallon, which is the lowest I've paid in a LONG time.
  12. I used to get a lot of my Model Cars magazine in terrible condition when I had a subscription, so now I buy them at the hobby shop.
  13. Congrats Jim.
  14. We had an excellent meeting today at the S.L.A.M. club with great people, good food, and camaraderie also. We also had Mark Savage the publisher of the other mag as our "guest speaker" at today's meeting. Next month's meeting date has been changed to Feb. 28th because the World of Wheels Show is on the weekend before. Be sure to finish up your gasser builds and bring them to the meeting as they are due.
  15. Thanks Mitch as I would appreciate that. The measurements don't have to be to the 1/16th but in the vicinity of say 1/4 inch.
  16. Very nice lookin' combo Mitch as I was just at my LHS the other day thinkin' bout a combo using the Ford LN8000. How large is that truck in inches, as display space around here is limited? Thanks.
  17. Very nice display case, and it will even be better once you display your builds in it. Will you be adding a mirrored back or lights to it?
  18. Hmmm, I'll have to check out my local hobby shop for the new issue. And I need to pick up the new Elapsed Times mag also.
  19. I've got stacks of model car kits to build, so I doubt that the 3D printer will have any effect on me.
  20. No Cobraman, as I'll build the plane and hang it from the ceiling of my den/hobby room just like I did with the Texan that I built last year.
  21. Yeah Kerry it's good to have a job and take care of your family, but tons of hours is not gonna make you rich or a "happy camper."
  22. When I was working Kerry, sure sometimes I had to work extra hours on a certain job, but I never "chased" overtime as I needed a life also. I kept my spending to coincide with a 40 hour work week, and I did make my 40 hours every week.
  23. I hafta agree with you on the sloppy steering and the vague handling Harry, but if you change over to disc brakes you'll really feel the difference. I know that it saved me from one accident back in 2013. Whew!
