  1. Hopefully I can go easy on the kit buying this year. We'll see???
  2. I thank God for everyday, even the bad ones as I know someone else had a worse day than I did.
  3. The "thrill' of opening a newly released kit is nothing like it was back in the early 60's for me. These days I only open 'bout 30% of the kits I buy. With "sealed" kits it's a lot easier for me to sell them If I wish, or to donate them to a model event, etc.
  4. Welcome to the forum George as it's a great place to be.
  5. As for the container ships waiting at sea to be unloaded with goods, I'm in FAVOR of the Longshoreman's strike as the members need to fight for wages and benefits to provide for their families. The CEO's are getting paid WAY to much to walk around in expensive suits and look good, while the workers are bustin' their hump everyday.
  6. I agree as it seems like a LOT of adults don' t think that the rules pertain to them, but only for everybody else.
  7. I'm sure glad that I don't hafta work outside anymore, as this old body couldn't take it.
  8. Glad to hear it Joe, and hopefully I'll see you at the swap meet.
  9. Very nice build George, and I'm expecting a kit from Modelhaus this month.
  10. Welcome to the forum Bryan as this is a great place to be, and thanks for your service to our country.
  11. I hafta agree with you Monty, as the education in this country has been falling below world standards for quite some time. And the educators are making great salaries and pensions, while this goes on decade after decade.
  12. A JOB? No thanks.
  13. My 17 month old grandson came over and we got to play together as well as "roughhouse" also. He's quite the character.
  14. That Bianchi looks like a rolling "death trap" to me.
  15. A new tool in progress, another new kit on the hobby shop shelves, MAYBE another kit in my "stash." Oh boy, oh joy just what I need as I can't finish what I've already got now. For me this isn't the 60's anymore and I just don't get really excited whenever a new kit is released. I'm also tired of tying up ca$h for plastic.
  16. Very nice job on that Dart Paul, and I just happen to have a Hemi Dart body collecting dust on my desk that I've already started cleaning up for primer soon I hope. I just love dem Mopars!
  17. I've used both the K&S rod and also Evergreen plastic rod and they both work well.
  18. B E A U T I F U L !
  19. I sold two 1/16th scale dragster kits and one 1/16th scale funny car kit today, as I'm still "thinnin' out the herd" some.
  20. What ever works to do model building is the way to go. I've heard of guys building on a TV tray, and I've spray painted on the top of a bed before as well. Not everyone has a spare room or basement with deep pockets to set it up the way they want. Some of us have to improvise and also settle for less, but that doesn't mean that good models can't be built in whatever environment we have.
  21. James, my friend and I stopped there last Wednesday morning at it was a zoo! Lot's of people there buying anything and everything. As long as we were in the neighborhood, we also stopped at the "Empire" and then at Hooters in Brookfield for lunch.
  22. It's lookin' like it'll be a winner Lance, keep us posted.
  23. Excellent job on that "Bird," you nailed it!
  24. I also like the Bondo Professional Glazing & Spot Putty, works good!
