  1. Relax Kennyboy, as those are just photos of the real car. LOL!
  2. Colorful language? Guess when I was doing "construction work" I was an artist. LOL!
  3. As I've said before, a lot of todays' car magazines are pretty lame and I've taken to collecting car mags from the 60's. 'Bout the only mags I buy today are Elapsed Times and I subscribe to Gasser Magazine. I love reading the Hot Rod mags from the 50's & 60's and also the Super Stock mags from the 60's as well.
  4. No Andy, it was posted (sent) to all the club members. It features the theme winners as well as people' choice, member of the year, and lots of photos of the event and club members.
  5. Wow, cool build and I remember that scene very well. I just may have to watch that movie again soon as I did like it.
  6. I know someone who is able to use the E-85 fuel and they tell me that even though it is cheaper per gallon, they don't get the mileage they do with the E-10 fuel. So they don't use the E-85 fuel in their vehicle.
  7. Our AMG club newsletter editor Paul, just posted a special edition coverage of the Milwaukee NNL that was held last month with LOTS of great photos. A job well done. I can hardly wait 'til next years Milwaukee NNL.
  8. If it were me, one call and it'd be fixed in a matter of a couple of hours, not 18 days later. Some things I can wait on, other things I want NOW.
  9. That Drag-on-Lady came out lookin' real good Rick, and I just love dem Mopars!
  10. Beautiful job on that early Charger John, and I just love dem Mopars!
  11. It WAS delivered in two days Harry. Its just that they (post office) picks which two days. LOL!
  12. Gerry takes a lot of great photos and is an excellent modeler as well. I'm glad to know him and be in a model car club with him. Gerry also has done some great building demos for the club as well.
  13. In the magazine, it states that it is published three times per year, and not quarterly. It is a great publication, and I should get to finish reading my copy.
  14. That's NO fun, not being able to drive it. Besides, I do prefer B-bodies.
  15. Ace, I was on a plane a couple years ago and requested a blanket,( there was to be a $10 charge for this) the flight attendant asked me if I was a vet, and of course I said no. He came back later with the blanket and again asked me if I was a vet, and again I said no. He then gave me the blanket(no charge) for my honesty. Why would anyone impersonate that they are or have been in the military?
  16. Go in the "other pocket" Harry. LOL!
  17. It IS a very important day and people should also "fly da flag" just like they do on the 4th of July. Before Memorial Day became a "Monday holiday" it was always on May 30th as my late brother was born on that day as well.
  18. I guess you didn't read the part where I said "modelers" Frank, as I didn't say "reviewers." It has been known for a long time that the reviewers don't pay for the kits. I was talking about the "core"(buyers) of the industry, not the chosen few who gets free kits to build, and of course they're not going to "dis" the kit in their review. Many kits from all manufacturers have flaws, and I take them with a grain of salt because I build model kits for the enjoyment, just like I did back in the 50's. If I wanted to count rivets, I'd go to the hardware store and buy a box and make sure that I didn't get shortchanged.
  19. BOTTOM line Joe is with self checkouts, you're replacing humans with machines, plain and simple.
  20. For those who don't know, those "self checkout" lanes are taking away JOBS from other people. I think that we have ENOUGH people out of work as it is.
  21. If modelers have issues with the way Revell makes their kits, there is a SIMPLE solution, and that is NOT to buy any more Revell kits. I'm sure you can find other products to build and to complain about as well.
  22. I've been usin' Bondo lately as a filler.
  23. John, I do agree with you that pet ownership is a very rewarding lifetime experience, but it's not for everyone. Maybe growing up in the city and living in an apartment had a lot to do with it for me.
  24. While I use Devcon 5-Minute Epoxy and it sets up in 'bout 5 minutes, it is fully cured in 24 hours. When gluing delicate parts, I let them dry for a day. I also "pin" items like outside side view mirrors before gluing them as well.
