  1. And that folk's is the rest of the story.........................................................................................................
  2. That's the kind we had when we first bought the house Chuck, but my "better half" had different ideas. Oh well.
  3. Well if Harry's trapped in his garage with a garage door that won't open, why can't he call 911 and maybe the Fire Department can rescue him like they do when cats are stuck in a tree?
  4. FUNEEEEEEEEE, as I have the same problem Kerry.
  5. I'm likin' it and if you're still not satisfied with it, please send it to me. Thanks.
  6. Lately I've been buying most all of my gas for all of our vehicles in "cheeseland." Illinois gas stations and lawmakers can keep their "high priced" and over taxed gas, as far as I'm concerned.
  7. Why are you selling your garage, if I may ask???
  8. In over 50 years of magazine publishing, the subscription cards STILL say: Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery of first issue. You mean to tell me in this day and age it still takes that long to process a new subscription? Give me a break!
  9. Ethanol free gas in "cheeseland", in the southern part of the state. And regular was only $3.72 per gallon.
  10. I paid $4.38 a gallon today for ethanol free 91 Octane. Wow, that's high.
  11. Kerry, I was lookin' for you today at Gus's as it was "packed" with LOTS of nice rides tonight. I also stopped at my local Dog 'N Suds in Ingleside on the way home and it too was "packed." Guess with the really nice weather and the looooooong winter we had, a lot of people want to get out, and they did.
  12. We used to have someone cut the lawn and also someone to clean our house as well. As long as my better half and I are healthy, we'll take care of our own house & lawn and pocket the money we would have spent. It works for us.
  13. I did my own lawn today and now I've got ca$h in my pocket to burn some "high octane" when I go to the cruise night tonight. And my lawn looks much better than the job the guy I had cutting it before did.
  14. I'll be buying my gas "out of state" later today. Sometimes, I save $10+ when I fill up.
  15. Welcome to the forum Cory, as this is a great place to be.
  16. That's a great idea Bill, thanks!
  17. What irked me this afternoon is spending 15 minutes waiting to get thru an intersection. The area where the intersection is located is supposed to be an "Historical Town" and they want to preserve it. They already have dilapidated houses and traffic is horrific as they won't use the shoulder lane to move traffic or use for a turn lane, and visa versa at the next stoplight as well. It's not "rocket science" to see how to move traffic, and this can be done just by a few new lane markings on the pavement and a few new signs. I thought that I was a dinosaur, and yet in that town, I think that some folks believe that horse & buggy's are still being used. What a joke!
  18. Soooooooo Harry, what's the verdict on your garage door opener?
  19. That's why I buy my gas elsewhere Mark, as the taxes on the fuel where I live is outrageous!
  20. I think that they're available from Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland as well.
  21. That's why I like to get things done TODAY! I wish I would feel the same way about building my model cars. LOL!
  22. What a "BEAUTIFUL" model of a Willys Art. Your work on that car is just "outstanding."
  23. I remember the little mags very well as they only cost 25 cents back then and would fit inside my text book while I read them in class back in the 60's, and yes I did get caught a couple of times. As far as digital publications go, I'm a dinosaur and just because we're in the 21st century doesn't mean I'm goin' to jump right in with both feet. Like I said before, I like reading the articles, looking at the photos of the cars, and seeing the old ads for car parts, motor oils, accessories, etc. in the mags from the 60's. While lots of things change over time, some don't.
  24. Every time the price of fuel goes up, the petroleum companies gives us a reason and we take it to be gospel. Give me a break! They can tell us anything they want, and get away with it. How 'bout the rising prices of cable TV? The CEO of Comcast earns(?) a whopping 31.4 million dollars per year. That's right, I did say MILLION dollars per year. The consumers just like taxpayers are getting ripped off "BIG TIME!"
  25. I need to paint a black car soon, as they make a lot of cars look really bitchin'.
