  1. We really got "dumped" on last night with the rain, thunder, and lots of lightning too, as it lasted 'til 11: 45 p.m. Hopefully it'll stay dry now for awhile.
  2. I just used it last week and it came out beautiful.
  3. Oh well, all is fair in love and war. LOL!
  4. I have one but never use it, maybe I should. Of course my desk doubles as a work bench as well as a writing desk also. I bought mine at Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon.
  5. I filled a couple of medical claim forms six weeks ago and still haven't heard from them or received payment that was due to me. Well today I decided to call them and after three "go arounds" with the robot recordings I had to call the fourth time and finally got to talk to a human. That wasn't much better as he told me that my claim was denied. What do these "office" people do all day, and when were they going to tell me this, on Christmas??? So now I need to send them even more info and wait who knows how long for money that's due to me. If those clowns were workin' for me I'd pull a "Donald" (Trump) on them and FIRE them all. Yep that "irked" me today.
  6. Does anyone know how to contact Ed Fluck from F & F Resin or Drag City Resin? Thanks.
  7. I hear you Marshall, and that's why I'm not cookin' on the grill tonight or going to a cruise night either. The weather this month has been really "iffy" a lot of the days.
  8. Exactly Harry, how many people need to die because of a company's screw up, and before it's fixed???
  9. 6th Annual "Attack of the Plastic" Model Car Show & Swap on Sunday July 13th 2014 from 10a.m.-3p.m. at beautiful Lake Lawn Lodge in Delavan, Wisconsin. 15 classes available. ALSO a rather large 1:1 car show on the beautiful lake shore as well. So bring your models, bring your money, bring your rides, and bring your camera for a great day.
  10. Danno, you can buy fireworks, but you can't use them? Hmmmm sounds like back in the 60's as well as today. You can have loud mufflers installed at a muffler shop, but it's illegal to use them on the street. Kinda like a "double standard", no?
  11. I've been usin' pre- wired distributors and magnetos for years and it seems to work great for me. I don't mind workin' on a model car kit, but when I can take a "shortcut" I'll take it.
  12. In my area people tend to "practice" shooting fireworks 'bout a week before the 4th so It's something I have to get used to. With the way the economy is, it has surprised me over the years how many people can afford them. I guess it's a lot like smokers affording to be able to smoke? Wouldn't it just be easier to take a match and light up a hundred dollar bill?
  13. I was checkin' out the website for your Mopar club John, very cool!
  14. While many modelers do, I don't build models of cars & trucks that I have owned or presently own as I have MANY other vehicles that I would like to build instead. As for vehicles I already own, I could just look at the real thing in the garage, right?
  15. Just don't eat those apples Gable. LOL!
  16. Yes, I did notice a bit of Vargas in your work also.
  17. Great job on that build so far Paul. For decal help I would go to: Signs & Lines by Stretch in Waukesha, Wi.
  18. Nice job on that 'Vair John, and I don't think that Round 2 would bring back a Corvair kit simply because I can't see enough return to break even with a release like that.
  19. Even MORE rainstorms this weekend for the Midwest putting a damper on my going to cruise nights and car shows. I thought that APRIL was supposed to be the "rainy' month, no? Shoot!
  20. Ahhhhh, the good old days. Yes I remember the penny candy, the nickel candy bars, a quarter to get into the movies, etc. I forgot how much it cost to ride the bus/streetcar and the EL/subway though. Life was a lot simpler then and everybody was working, and everything was made in the U.S.A. My how times have changed. Some for the good, and some not so good.
  21. I've done trains three times in my life and now with a new grandson I purchased a Lionel train set to go around the Christmas tree. Of course I had to try it out when I bought it and I can't wait to set it up again. I've also bought more track for it and a tunnel too. As well as building model cars I'm working on an airplane kit which is something I haven't done since the 50's. So far I'm enjoyin' the trains and planes along with the cars.
  22. Chief Joseph makes good quality stuff and I wouldn't hesitate to order from him again.
  23. Yes Bill, it does seem like a lot of services have been sub-par over the years including (oops, no politics), and then again I have seen service on the rise at other establishments.
  24. Sounds like the UPS stores are "useless."
  25. That Bonneville looks really nice!
