  1. Lookin' good John, both of 'em and I really like the old front engine dragsters. I remember them well from when I first started going to the drag strips in the mid-60's.
  2. Foiling is a LOT easier than painting the chrome trim with a brush like we did "back-in-the-day." And it looks much better also.
  3. The BOTTOM line on junk food is, that a person can eat healthy food or junk food and they're still goin' to die.
  4. I went to church today and praised the Lord.
  5. Although there are some kits and reissues coming out in the future that'll I'll buy, I'm really not interested in having even more kits instead of ca$h. While I have a few larger scale kits, I have my doubts about even starting any of them let alone finishing them as well.
  6. Harry, although the law says no texting or using a hand held phone while driving, I see people doing it every day. So EXACTLY what good is that law if they don't enforce it???
  7. Congrats! It was 34 years ago yesterday when I made my wife the luckiest woman in the world.
  8. Hey, Proctology is a DEEP subject!
  9. Very nice build on that Tri-Five as I saw a few of them at the drag strip last weekend and I need to build a '56 Chevy gasser soon. Your build looks great!
  10. I spend too much on my model car hobby, however I've been drastically cutting back the last year or so. I'd rather not tie up more ca$h for a larger stack of unbuilt kits as I already have more than enough.
  11. I only see four kits that I hafta buy, and that's enough! My "stash" is overrun by unbuilt kits that I hope to build someday, and right now I'm in a bit of a summer hiatus as well.
  12. I did that also Joe when I was in New York last fall, and I thank God that my wife and I are still alive. It's scary driving without lights.
  13. Don't stop now Joe, you're on a roll. LOL!
  14. Terry, I just may be at a Mopar show this Sunday and I'll see if there's any poly-head motors in the bunch.
  15. Stringent laws don't apply when an envelope is passed under the table Tom.
  16. The AMT Willys Coupe/Pickup has a one piece tilt front end.
  17. Owen, if there's a model car swap meet in your area you can find some cheap kits there as well as glue-bombs.
  18. Sure Harry the name of the game is to make MONEY and I believe that American companies should make make and sell their products here, yep in the good old USA. But to have it made, grown, processed, packaged,or what have you in another country and then ship that junk here and pawn it off on the American people who no longer have jobs because of political and corporate greed is just wrong. And yes Carl, it's got to the point where we often don't know what we're eating anymore or where it's coming from. And USDA inspected can be a joke too, so don't be believing all the junk that is said as gospel because it's not.
  19. That subject has been gone over many times Alan. I myself prime, paint, and clear the body and then let it "gas out" for a week or so before using polishing cloths of different grits to level out and polish the clear to a brilliant shine. I then apply my BMF and decals. Since I store my finished models inside the house in a curio cabinet, I don't have to worry about protecting them. No rain, snow, sleet, hail, etc. to worry about.
  20. The poly-head engines were never that popular as I 've seen a lot of Mopars, but no poly-head engines. I even shied away from buying a beautiful '64 Polara hardtop because it had a poly motor, and where would I get parts for it? And were would I get aluminum heads and intake manifolds for it also? No thanks.
  21. Wow, I saw on the news last night and in this mornings paper that we are able to get Chinese food at our local McDonalds, KFC, and Pizza Hut. Yes, those companies use beef and chicken from China. What's wrong with the beef & chicken from the USA? If the beef & chicken were used from the United States, it would mean MORE jobs, MORE income taxes, and those taxes could pay for MORE road & bridge repairs that our country desperately needs. MORE road and bridge construction would also yield more jobs, which is desperately needed. The things that are done and not done in this country are amazing in a bad way. However I really don't see a "fix" anytime soon or even in my lifetime, and I blame it on the politicians and corporate GREED!
  22. VERY cool projects and please keep posting 'em and you won't be the only one who sees them. I really enjoy lookin' at the projects you've posted. Thanks.
