  1. Better than nice as I used to "sling" a pencil when I was very young. I think that your work is awesome, and thanks for posting.
  2. Harry is right as there is a LOT to see and do in Las Vegas. While I do some gambling for entertainment only, I do enjoy the food, the shows, the different hotels, the pools, Red Rock Canyon, Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, the shopping, and I may even stop to see my cousins also. I've been there a number of times, and I recommend it to everyone at least once.
  3. Cobraman, Jersey Boys is better than good as I give it TWO thumbs up! Be sure to watch for the cars through out the movie as well.
  4. Eastwood Company has some SEM interior paints in spray cans that work well and no primer is needed.
  5. While I haven't been to Vegas for five years now, I do every now and then enjoy the Vegas atmosphere when on a cruise ship, as it is just like a Las Vegas Hotel floating in the sea.
  6. I just saw the newly released movie Jersey Boys this afternoon and thought that it was great. There are some really nice cars shown throughout the movie and also in the closing as well. I will be buyin' the video of this movie when it's released.
  7. While I have a mint JoHan '63 Polara Hardtop kit in my "stash" that was very hard to come by, I believe you can get one from MCW. Check it out.
  8. Glad to hear it Kenneth as I've been a member of a model club(s) since 1974 and it's a lot of fun. I currently belong to four model car clubs.
  9. While I'm not really a happy "winter person," as I get older I don't think that extreme heat would be a good change for me. I can always go to Florida or the Caribbean for a vacation.
  10. Even though I have enough kits, parts, resin parts, photo etched, etc., it sounds like I'm gonna hafta order some stuff from Steve Perry in the near(?) future.
  11. No I don't watch any car shows on TV as they don't do anything for me and the drama stinks also. I really enjoy 1:1 cars by going to car shows, cruise nights, drag strips, etc. I also belong to four model car clubs as well, and a few internet forums too.
  12. Sooooooooo, whose your tailor Greg? LOL!
  13. Yes I too am fortunate that I have the number of kits that I do, and it doesn't bother me if I leave a swap meet or a hobby shop "empty handed." After all, they are model kits that need to be painted and built and that takes time. They're not baseball cards were one needs them ALL. As far as my "estate" goes, I won't be here so I don't really care what happens to my stuff.
  14. Have at it Jim, and let me get out of your way. LOL!
  15. The last time I rented a condo in South Carolina 'bout two years ago, only one Palmetto bug showed up, and that was enough. LOL!
  16. My model kit buyin' habits have changed over the last couple of years and I've been slowin' down in purchasing new kits quite a bit. While I still don't like the higher prices, it won't affect me too much as I'm buyin' less and hopefully I'll be buildin' more?
  17. Michael, the Miss Deal kit that I'm currently working on is pretty much out of the box. I am adding some detailing to it as well as a custom candy paint job and custom decals made for me by a friend. I'm having difficulty posting pics on this forum lately, and yet no problems posting on other forums, so I really don't know if I'll be posting any pics of my Miss Deal.
  18. Very nice job on that early Hemi Charger Ben, and great under hood detail also.
  19. I would think that there's a big difference in painting a 1:1 car and painting a plastic model car. The 1:1 car paint needs to be more durable as it is exposed to the outside elements, where the model car is not. Seems like you're mixing apples & oranges when you compare the two.
  20. I have the Fins & Chrome as well as the Muscle Car stamps and I'll be saving one sheet of each as well as the Hot Rod stamps. Maybe for my grandson, as his name is CARson. Don't know if he'd like the Marilyn Monroe stamps though? LOL!
  21. Don't know if the Muscle Car stamps are still available, but they now have Hot Rod stamps for sale.
  22. Anytime you buy a warranty(extended, lifetime, etc.), you are making a money bet that your vehicle that you picked out will break down. And if it's gonna breakdown like you believe because you paid money for a warranty, what'd you buy it for???
  23. Andrew is right as the Miss Deal is not an altered or a gasser by no means. It is a "match racer" and a car like this ran on a lot of "outlaw tracks" back in the mid-late 60's. I'm currently working on one myself.
  24. That Torino IS lookin' good!
