  1. Somebody will ALWAYS complain about a certain kit no matter what company makes it or what it is, or how much it cost. That is a "given."
  2. It's "Official" Harry as I drained the gas in the snow -thrower and put it away along with the shovel and ice melt as well today.
  3. Some of those employees at Home Depot, Menards, and Lowe's are lucky they can find the bathroom, yet anything else.
  4. Boy Micheal, you live a long way from Superdawgs now, and they even built another one in Wheeling. However Superdawg can't hold a candle to Portillo's. I hope to start a 1/48th scale plane soon as it would look great hangin' from my ceiling in the den/hobby room.
  5. Great idea Doug, but I find it much easier to use pre-wired distributors and magnetos.
  6. Really nice job on that pair of builds, as they came out great. The Miss Deal is one of my current projects, and I'll be usin' different colors and decals for my build.
  7. My "better half" is left handed, but she's always right.
  8. I would "Google" it as I know there was one that I went to a few years ago, but I don't remember the name of it or where it was. I don't get out that way much.
  9. I usually buy it with my credit card so that I can accumulate "airline miles." I have a lot of paint on hand, and sometimes I either order or buy a certain color for a current or upcoming build. I just placed and order with MCW, and I need to order some paint from Black Gold for a car that I'm presently workin' on.
  10. Oh well, a loss is a loss and a few Corvettes is no big deal compared to other loses. Like when a fire or tornado wipes out a family's home and all of it's possession's. Now that's a LOSS. A couple of cars can be replaced, or just done without.
  11. Check out the injector stacks from JDS Racing as they are awesome, with anodized flared tips in red or blue.
  12. I guess we'll just have to wait 'til next year to find out what happens to Mia, won't we???
  13. That T-Bucket came out lookin' real good Rob.
  14. I was there occasionally in the early & mid-60's, both at the Harding/Fullerton location and the Ridgeway/Fullerton location.
  15. The paint does look good Mike.
  16. After owning a few vehicles with stick shift, and having to shift all the time in traffic to and from work, it got "old" after a time. And now that I have two knee replacements, there's NO more stick shifting for me. It was fun many times, especially when I was drag racin' either on the street or strip. Oh well.....................
  17. I just heard on last nights news that the Fast & Furious 7 movie will be finished using Paul Walker's brothers to sub for him, and it is due to be released at theaters in April of 2015
  18. I've seen snow on Mt. Charleston in early May before. I commented to my wife as we were driving there, that the mountains reminded me of the mountains in Colorado, except that there was no snow. Then we saw Mt. Charleston with snow on it.
  19. I also remember Trost Hobbies in the Bridgeport neighborhood and also Stanton Hobby Shop as my mom lived not to far from there. There was also M & G Bikes & Hobby on Pulaski near Addison and another shop further north on Pulaski at Belle Plaine Ave. And Bill's Hobby Shop on Fullerton & Ridgeway Aves. The "good old days."
  20. As mentioned before, the Chevy Coupe will be on the shelves this August. It will be like their other great Chevy kits, but I doubt if there will be vintage speed equipment added. I also believe there will be an article on the '48 Chevy Coupe in the "other mag" that will be out in a couple of weeks. The sedan with the woody option is also forthcoming as well as a convertible kit. Now Jim, what else do you want to know? Gary Schmidt was at the NNL the other night and would have answered ALL your questions.
  21. Well then Harry, will yesterday's snow count for the winter or 2014/2015 then? You could also make a snowball and freeze it and you'll have it "on hand" for when you need it. LOL!
  22. Build every kit to completion? That's a TALL order as a lot of us have enough kits for two or three lifetimes. Welcome to the forum Michael.
  23. Soon Harry, soon.................
  24. Lookin' good Brett. I think that I have one of those kits in my "stash" as well.
  25. NEVER??? They have snow in California and I've seen snow just outside of Vegas also. Do you want some?
