  1. The weather WILL get better, "trust me."
  2. Yeah he will.
  3. Just don't put away your snow-boards yet folks. LOL! It might have been in the 80's on Saturday, but not where I was at. Keep that "Bowtie" under wraps for a bit longer Harry.
  4. Looks really nice Neal, will you be doing the BMF around the windows too, or no?
  5. Chance of snow? You've got to remember that the word "chance" can be used in a variety of ways like there's a CHANCE that I'll win the lotto, or a CHANCE that I'll get struck by lightning, or a CHANCE that I'll win the Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes. Those weather "clowns" on TV have to make things interesting and like to "embellish" things a lot, and they get paid whether they're right or wrong.
  6. I picked that kit up at the hobby shop last Saturday the 12th of April on my way to the Milwaukee NNL. I haven't opened it as yet, but I did order the paint from MCW.
  7. Checked your site, and you have some interesting parts there. I do like the in/out box, but I really haven't broke the seal on my Slingster kit, as I'm too busy workin' on other kits.
  8. Charlie, I was in Vermont in early October last year and the weather was just "perfect."
  9. It was good to see you Kerry and Kennyboy at the Milwaukee NNL 22 yesterday as well as many other modelers that I've met and known over the years. I thought that it was a great show.
  10. Sent you a PM Derrick.
  11. Yep Harry it could happen as I've seen snow on Easter before, but I kinda think that we're done with that white stuff 'til next December. And they're a LOT of people who are hoping that I'm right.
  12. I'm you went also Rich, as to me it's a show "not to be missed." I didn't make the swap meet today, but there should be another one in Waukesha 'bout December 7th if I'm not mistaken.
  13. One of the guys will be posting tons of photos on the Spotlight Hobbies Message board. I myself don't take photos at model car show or even 1:1 "cruise nights." Only at 1:1 car shows.
  14. I talked with the owner of Galaxie last night and he had builds of all the Galaxie kits on display. He told me that the new '48 Chevy Coupe should be on the shelves in August. Also the Aerosedan will be re-issued with the woody side trim option. The Galaxie built ups looked gorgeous, and the coupe sat low 'n black with hub caps on steelies and was ready to haul some "shine."
  15. The Milwaukee NNL 22 was a great success today with 830 cars on the tables, 120 were Mustangs as the theme was 50 Years of the Mustang. LOTS of "eye candy" and inspiration. Can't wait to do it again next year.
  16. I picked up the Round 2 MPC Malco Mustang kit at my LHS today.
  17. You guys with self inflicted injuries "take it easy" as neither one of them sound good. I know over the years I've "irked" myself many times as it's like "hey dummy" what'd you do that for?
  18. See you there Kennyboy, and I like your new avatar also.
  19. I really don't see anything wrong with some guys being "Mr. Mom" as it does work in some households. There are NO set rules on who in the family should bring in the most bread to pay the family's expenses. Remember the saying: "whatever works?"
  20. I've been to Salt Lake City before and even went to Mark Gustavson's house, but I never really cared for SLC and the GSL is not on my "bucket list."
  21. James, check the parking lot on Saturday as there may be a few vendors out there during the show.
  22. The names that people are giving their kids are "their choice" just like it's been over many decades. Do YOU want to choose names for everybody? Talk shows on TV are just that, talk.
  23. While I won't be at the swap meet on Sunday Derrick, I've heard that it's gonna be pretty full with vendors, and they will be having another swap meet at the same place in early December as always.
  24. I've used the HVAC tape many times when I was working, and pipe coverers or frost insulators use this tape all the time on construction jobs, It is simply too thick to use on model cars.
  25. I've heard that if the first couple of coats are "misted" over the decals, they should be okay. The rumor about TS-13 decanted ans spray through an air-brush is just that, a rumor. I've never "cleared" over decals as yet as my models don't need to be protected at all. I build them, show them at a couple of club meetings and an NNL, and then put them in my display case. I have a model that I've built in the early 80's with my first BMF job and it still looks great today. I know, some builders like to clear over BMF as well. I clear my models before any decals or BMF.
