  1. Awesome job on that build. I was able to catch the Roth display at the Petersen Museum back in '08 and I did get to meet Ed back in the early 80's, but didn't think to get his autograph. DUH!!!
  2. Times "are changing" and not always for the better.
  3. Maybe in the parking lot at the NLL???
  4. Hurry up Kerry as you've been sandbaggin' WAY too long.
  5. Frank, Nice haul and I'm lookin' for ramps as my single-car trailer didn't come with them.
  6. Hmmmmmmmm, good question. I would check with Replicas in Miniature of Maryland as maybe they would have some.
  7. WAKE UP Kerry, only two more days 'til Milwaukee NNL 22 and I hope to see you there.
  8. I'll be lookin' for you Derrick. Seeing LOTS of excellent builds, meeting and talking with many guys with the same interest as you, a great raffle, rock 'n roll music, and the camaraderie are all good reasons to go. And of course the boys from Winnipeg will be there as well. Last year we had 900+ models on the table which is a LOT of "eye candy." Still need more reasons to attend this great event that is in it's 22nd year Derrick?
  9. Nice build on that Tri-Five Sean, real nice, and great pics as well.
  10. I've been enjoying the plastic model building hobby for over 50 years and still do. Sooooooooooooo, why would I want to invest money into having a 3D printer? I'm doing just fine without one. All the latest gadgets are great for the retailers, as there are millions of people just waiting to shell out their money for the latest this or that whether they need them or not.
  11. Roy, there's also a chance that I'll win the lottery also. Saturday will be a nice day and I'm hopin' to see some of you at the Milwaukee NNL. Last year we had 900+ models on the tables and two builders from Winnipeg will be returning for the third time to enjoy the show as well.
  12. I think so Harry, and even though I got a couple things done today, I shoulda cleaned the deck so I can seal it. I did get to work on my models some though. Almost time for you to pull out that Impala out of the garage Harry. 396?
  13. Great job Pete!
  14. It's been in the hobby shops for awhile as well.
  15. Oh well....................................................
  16. Sweeeeeeet build on that Charger, and that would look great on the street in 1:1 scale.
  17. You're right about the amount of salt on the garage floor Harry. Over the winter I have swept it out at least three times and had at least enough to fill a table salt box each time.
  18. The Michael's by me has such a small selection of model car kits, that I wouldn't make the 6 mile trip if they gave my 70% off.
  19. Weather around here is gettin' better and looks like I'll be runnin' da gas out of the Toro this weekend and put it away. Also need to clean and seal my deck, or get someone to do it before I put out he deck furniture, garden hose, etc. Of course I'll be hosing off the salt on the garage floor as well. Guess I can make up a good list of things to do in the next couple of weeks. I'll still will be working on my models though and hoping to get something finished soon. Do is it goodbye snow, or good riddance? It'll be back, I can guarantee that.
  20. I was "out & about" today with my better half and we ended up at Portillo's for lunch again. This is gettin' to be habit forming.
  21. David, I did the same thing to the Batmoblie kit a coupe of years ago, and it was FUN as well as it looks great in my display case.
  22. Lucky you, that's 'bout how close my local Dog 'n Suds is where I "hang out" a lot.
  23. mikemodeler, if you ever ran a contest or were one of the judges, you would see that a model car contest is already a pain, and adding a class like you've described would only cause trouble down the line. Trust me.
  24. Model car contests and 1:1 car shows are TWO different ballgames entirely.
  25. Looks great Gene as I'm just waiting for the "paint to dry" on my Fiat and I'll be all done. Finished the engine, chassis, wheels& tires this past weekend. I got the body painted and cleared also.
