The next time I'm in Chicago, which should be this month I'll have to check out a hobby shop. No Portillos's as I have other business that day as well.
Funny you should mention R/C boats David, as 30 years ago I got "out of cars" for awhile and was following the Unlimited Hydroplanes and also the drag boats. I also was into R/C boating and belonged to a club called Summer Thunder. Boy did that "nitro" smell goooooooood.
That was no big deal, but the rest of the mag is great! Also has a great photo of the Malco Mustang Gasser that is soon to be re-issued by Round 2. $6.99 is the cover price, wow I remember when the mags were 25 cents. Guess that was awhile ago.
C'mon Casey, you can do it. And I'll be lookin' for it as well. If anybody needs any info on this event which is only 8 days away, please send me a PM and I should be able to answer your questions.
I usually wait 20 minutes in between color and clear coats when painting. I spray the color on one day, and then the clear on the next day and it works for me.
It would be nice if one of the aftermarket companies would produce a decal sheet with battery logos to be used on 1/25th scale batteries. Also, if a company is selling resin batteries, to include decals for it as well.
My lawnmower is goin' on 20 years and I think that I've got my money's worth out of it. Hopefully I can squeeze a couple more years out of it? I'd rather be guiding my lawnmower, than chasing the snow-thrower.
I'm currently working on the Fiat altered from the "tin version" and after building the dragster as well, I'll use the tin box for storage. This version has colored glass options, tampo printed tires & slicks, and an expanded decal sheet as well.
Yeah Dave it WILL be awesome, as my new grandson was over for awhile yesterday and I got to feed & burp him. He's able to sit up and play with his toys already. Do you REALLY think that I'm going to spoil him???
