  1. Welcome, Clark! Lot's of good info here at MCM Forum.
  2. So you're looking for gangstas versus gangsters. The old tommy gun type would wipe the floor with these new guys...
  3. Sweet! Love the early Porsches! Beautiful job building this model.
  4. No, he does not have a website. If you've already corresponded via e-mail, send him a note requesting his current catalogue. He is great to deal with and has his hands full trying to fill orders as it is without having a website. There are some fotki sites with pics of some of his parts. You'll have to do a google search to find them or someone might post a link.
  5. Don't know if this has been mentioned yet but how about a Volvo P1800 from The Saint?
  6. What did I get today? Multiple bee stings. The little buggers decided to make a nest in the ground some time between last week's lawn cutting and this week's lawn cutting. Luckily I'm not allergic although I took some antihistamine so it's not as sore but I'm now a little dopey and typing is a challenge. And here I was feeling sorry for the bee population dying off. Now of course you realize, "This means war!"
  7. Yes, I voted Model A since this is a Model A household. But I would be happy to see fresh renditions of either the Model A or 33/34. As far as Model A would love to see a 30/31 Pick Up or a Vicky or 28/29 coupe or sedan.
  8. Man, so sorry to hear that, Andre. I hope you can find something else real soon.
  9. That's one mean looking machine! Job well done, Jonathan.
  10. Congratulations Andre! It looks like a sweet little house. From up here we always wonder how anyone in Toronto can afford a home.. I'm so happy you and your wife have managed to get one. Enjoy your new home and enjoy your new man cave. May many fine builds come out of there. Cheers!
  11. Awwww! Isn't that a cute little bugger? Woulda made a cool gasser. No idea what it is but it's cute….
  12. LOL! James if you go back through the archives of this section (I'm not sure how far back) you will find that there was a thread on the opposite side of What irked you today. But everyone is too busy being irked and that thread has long since disappeared. Kudos to you for trying to resurrect it. I'm pleased that I have a loving wife, a good job, a lovely home, a couple of serviceable everyday cars in the driveway and a Model A Ford in the garage waiting for some attention. I have a great hobby, model car building, that I enjoy and have made many friends through. Compared to people in most other areas of the world I live a charmed life. And I promise to try to remember all this when the people at work are driving me around the bend.

    BMW M3 DTM

Sweet Bimmer! I love these DTM cars from Revell Germany and you did a great job on this one. Kudos.
  14. Welcome, Paul! I do enjoy your YouTube channel. Hope you enjoy the group here.
  15. Actually I didn't chime in there as I more lurk there than participate unlike here. But the members there seemed to be answering all the questions quickly. They were happy to have a young person interested in Model A's even if it was only for the purpose of building a model. I didn't clue in to the connection until Chrissy posted about winning for her model over on Fordbarn. Then slow brains here figured out that it was the same one as here on Model Cars. Ohhhh!
  16. I don't know if Jeff or Chrissy mentioned it elsewhere in this thread or the build thread but they also sought the help of the Model A forum over at Fordbarn. The fellows there were more than happy to share their knowledge with Chrissy and are, like us here, tickled to see how well she did with this model. Again congratulations Chrissy.
  17. Welcome, Martin. Lot's of inspiration here. Check out Bill Eh? as he is an Ontario teacher and has done a model building exercise with his class for many years.

    1937 Cord

Nice clean build of an iconic automobile. Love Cords and you did a great job with this one.
  19. Very slick ride! Beautiful finish.
  20. Very cool! Lot's of possibilities with this one.

    Model T

Sweet weathered T! Straight out of the Great Depression.
  22. Fantastic restoration! Beautiful build. Kudos!
  23. Jeff, great build by your daughter. Also interesting to hear the judging process at the county and it does seem it would weed out the parent built models. Congratulations!
