  1. Awwww! Isn't that a cute little bugger? Woulda made a cool gasser. No idea what it is but it's cute….
  2. LOL! James if you go back through the archives of this section (I'm not sure how far back) you will find that there was a thread on the opposite side of What irked you today. But everyone is too busy being irked and that thread has long since disappeared. Kudos to you for trying to resurrect it. I'm pleased that I have a loving wife, a good job, a lovely home, a couple of serviceable everyday cars in the driveway and a Model A Ford in the garage waiting for some attention. I have a great hobby, model car building, that I enjoy and have made many friends through. Compared to people in most other areas of the world I live a charmed life. And I promise to try to remember all this when the people at work are driving me around the bend.

    BMW M3 DTM

Sweet Bimmer! I love these DTM cars from Revell Germany and you did a great job on this one. Kudos.
  4. Welcome, Paul! I do enjoy your YouTube channel. Hope you enjoy the group here.
  5. Actually I didn't chime in there as I more lurk there than participate unlike here. But the members there seemed to be answering all the questions quickly. They were happy to have a young person interested in Model A's even if it was only for the purpose of building a model. I didn't clue in to the connection until Chrissy posted about winning for her model over on Fordbarn. Then slow brains here figured out that it was the same one as here on Model Cars. Ohhhh!
  6. I don't know if Jeff or Chrissy mentioned it elsewhere in this thread or the build thread but they also sought the help of the Model A forum over at Fordbarn. The fellows there were more than happy to share their knowledge with Chrissy and are, like us here, tickled to see how well she did with this model. Again congratulations Chrissy.
  7. Welcome, Martin. Lot's of inspiration here. Check out Bill Eh? as he is an Ontario teacher and has done a model building exercise with his class for many years.

    1937 Cord

Nice clean build of an iconic automobile. Love Cords and you did a great job with this one.
  9. Very slick ride! Beautiful finish.
  10. Very cool! Lot's of possibilities with this one.

    Model T

Sweet weathered T! Straight out of the Great Depression.
  12. Fantastic restoration! Beautiful build. Kudos!
  13. Jeff, great build by your daughter. Also interesting to hear the judging process at the county and it does seem it would weed out the parent built models. Congratulations!
  14. Drew, it really varies from show to show. There is no universal set definition of classes. It all depends on the organizers of that particular show. Generally box stock means nothing but what came in there kit box with the exception of coatings like paint and bare metal foil and sometimes flocking. But no aftermarket stuff like wiring, photo etch etc or parts from other kits. Usually the instructions have to be displayed with the model. After that show organizers are usually the ones that determine what they expect in a class. I've found that at most shows the people running the show will do their best to help you place the model into the correct category if you ask at the registration table.
  15. Given the number of body styles there are not nearly enough Model A kits out there….. Need a repp of 28/29 sedan, need 28/29 coupe, need a 30/31 Closed cab pick-up. I need a 31 slant windshield Town Sedan to build a model of my Model A. I could go on…..
  16. Welcome to the forum, Wayne. Lots of great builds and info here. Hope you enjoy the time here. Look forward to seeing your builds.
  17. Sweet! Love the colour you chose. Looks very period correct. Kudos!
  18. Absolutely gorgeous! Just a beautiful, beautiful build. Thanks for taking the time to share it here.
  19. I am lucky to have a selection of t-shirts designed by Todd for NNL East including the one being offered. So I hope it goes to someone unable to attend NNL East as I have been lucky enough to do on a number of occasions. Thanks for offering these, Tom and I do proudly wear my NNL East t-shirts. They occasionally show up in my infrequent YouTube videos. I just happen to have the 2010 version on now which ironically features an 80's Mustang.
  20. Oh Yeah! It looks like another great piece of work from Kris. Will be on the must have list for the next time I meet them at a show.
  21. Glenn, nice work. As we build each one gets a little better. Looks like a car that has been on the road awhile that has a new young owner that gave it a quick paint job to express his style. Could be in the background of American Graffiti. Really like it.
  22. I don't know what it is but it certainly gave me a good laugh!
  23. Your wagon is off to a good start, James. Look forward to seeing how you work out the hinging of the tailgate.
  24. Very cool! Looks perfect to me. Wheels are really well done. A great build, Frank! And of your 911's, I have to say the 69 is my favourite.
  25. Very cool! This is going to be one stunning woody! Kudos!
