I'm very excited about this kit and I know for sure I will purchase a number of these kits regardless. And a quickchange would be a bonus but what I'm really disappointed about is the missing leaf spring suspension. Really interested in traditional rods and these did not have coil overs. I'm not building a hot rod to drive on the street as has been mentioned a number of times in this discussion. I think for most interested in this kit it is primarily for traditional hot rods and as such I do think Revell missed the mark with not including this. In other words I guess I am basically agreeing with what Bernard and Ace have been saying (I think...). I hope that Tim is correct and perhaps Revell will include leaf spring suspension in future releases. In the mean time will have to look to aftermarket for corrections as I really don't want to have to destroy a bunch of other kits to get desired results. As always,Tim, thanks for giving us such excellent background into the gestation of this kit.

Getting excited. This show only a week away!

My mother died on Friday the 13th. I was in a car accident (not of my own doing) on Friday the 13th....... so yeah I'm always happy to get in the door in one piece and see the 14th show up.

I don't know about anyone else but the retooled wheel covers in my kit looks like they were dipped in sand before being chromed. Bummer....

Beautiful build. Love seeing the classics built up. Love the colour but I have to admit I would prefer the blackwalls. Still very handsome with the white though.

Thanks for the contact information, Larry. What a lot of people tend to forget is that for all the people on Facebook there are also a lot of people that don't want anything to do with it. I'm always surprised when vendors restrict themselves to that site. (Nothing personal, I've noticed this with many others who offer product or services only through Facebook.)

I think the AMT 28 Model A Tudor was another example. I believe that MPC did the tooling and AMT marketed the kits. Thus the next release based on that mold was the 28 pickup/woody kit with the Hot Curl figure. Same chassis different bodies but marketed by MPC. We've seen the pickup and woody rereleased repeatedly but never the Tudor again.

I would guess that it would be around the $50+ region. As much as I would like the Ebbro Remault 4L it is going for $69 Canadian so I didn't pull the trigger. I'm guessing this one will be around the same or slightly higher.

Not Tom but the AMX kits have recently been reissued. They are indeed old MPC 1/20th molds but currently are the only game in town when in comes to plastic AMX kits.
