  1. Amazing work, Harry! Another absolutely beautiful build. Kudos!
  2. I just read elsewhere that the paint business has been sold to a hobby shop wheels, wings waves out of Ohio.
  3. Welcome to the forum, Mark.
  4. I don't do Facebook. Sorry, I couldn't resist. That said I wish you luck with this. Any place designed for model building discussion is a good thing. I hope the Think Tank aspect works out as it could be quite useful for many.
  5. Woohoo! I'm one of three who got it right? Woohoo! What? I don't get out much....
  6. I don't remember. I was a little young at the time. And I can't ask anymore because Dad's been gone a long time now. As I recall he said it was a late 50's Chryco product. The vehicles I do remember was his next car a 61 Pontiac Parisienne and a 49 GMC Pickup that they used at our hardware store. That was forever know as Daddy's Guck. (What can I say? I was 2 years old. I couldn't say truck at the time.....)
  7. Tom, that is a little rough on execution but I really like the concept. Whoever built it was really going for the airport limousine look. Thanks for sharing that one with us.
  8. Those are great, Nick! Probably the only Mopar pumpkins on display anywhere on Halloween.
  9. I can't imagine having to dig a cell phone out of my pocket every time I need to know the time when I can just take a quick look at my trusty old Timex on my wrist.
  10. Sweet little Roadrunner, Nick! Are those pumpkins holding down the Fury so it won't blow away?
  11. I don't know, Chuck. I think you missed the mark. I don't think it's rusty enough for an early Hyundai. Seriously it's a great build.
  12. Beautiful build! Great to hear that Kindigit and Jameston were helpful with your project. Kudos!
  13. Thanks to your picture on Sunday, when I put the garbage out Tuesday morning I looked up and saw a scene very much like your Wednesday picture. If hadn't been for your original picture I would not have known what I was looking at. Thank You for posting these pictures and educating me. Unfortunately since then we've had cloudy rainy conditions so I've not been able to keep track. Hopefully on the other dates you've listed I'll be able to see them again.
  14. Welcome to the forum. Lots of good information here. Enjoy!
  15. Great builds! Nicely weathered too. Thanks for sharing them with us.
  16. That's where I'm staying too! I'll keep an eye out for you, Bob.
  17. Very cool! Great to see Mustang II builds. Very nice job.
  18. Jesse, we were there early last year (my first time in many years) and there was plenty of parking there. When we went out to the car with our many purchases there was always some parking spots available. There is a very good snack bar in the building as I recall. I don't remember about entry costs but I believe it's one entry cost for the NNL and not per model. But keep in mind there is a entry fee for the toy show and a separate one for the NNL. You can start entering your models as soon as the NNL opens. I don't believe there is a cut off time as it not a judged show. Hope this helps.
  19. Excellent show again this year guys. Lots of vendors and some great quality builds on the tables. Thanks for the pics, Bob.
  20. Thanks for letting us know about that, Bob. That alleviates the need to get there real early to get parked. Look forward to seeing you there.
  21. Bill, Think of one big auditorium. Then in a corner of said space there is a boxed in area of tables with only one way in or out. Obviously you can see some of the models from outside of the designated area but if you want a closer look and a chance to talk to all the model builders present, you have to pay to get into the NNL Area. I was a little surprised last year but got used to it pretty quick. There were three of us there last year. We're known as shoppers as much as builders. But I said I came here for the show and the shopping was secondary (although I did my fair share before the NNL started). The other 2 sat outside the area and waited after they were done shopping and would not pay to view the actual NNL. I was thrilled to meet Tim Boyd and have a chance to talk to other car model builders that I've met throughout the years. I look forward to seeing you there as well as Dave Van and anybody else that I know or from this board etc.
  22. I plan on being there this year. I look forward to some shopping and then checking out the great models and visiting with people. I'll keep an eye for you Dave.
  23. Happy Birthday, Tom! May your family find a cake big enough to put all the candles on.....
