  1. So sorry to hear about Chuck’s passing. Although I didn’t know him personally, I certainly recognize his name probably due to magazine coverage and his association with the NNL Nationals. Condolences to family and friends.
  2. I feel like I should respond: “Far out, man!”. Cool painting. ?
  3. I learned to drive with my Dad’s 1974 Ford LTD Country Squire, my Aunt’s 1973 Pontiac Lemans, and the school’s drivers ed 1976 Pontiac Lemans. My drivers test went well until the examiner had me pull the U.S.S. Enterprise sized Country Squire next to a little Toyota (they were much smaller back in the day) to do my parallel parking test. Up til then I had been practicing with cars around the same size as the wagon. Needless to say I botched the test. Fortunately the examiner allowed me to try again using a car closer in size to the Ford and this time I passed parallel parking portion of the drivers test.
  4. That’s an absolutely beautiful build of the Mooneyes dragster, Jim! Kudos!
  5. I can't get past the fact it looks like someone tacked a gremlin rear end onto a challenger. If the front end looked slightly more Gremlin-ish then I think it would really work for me.
  6. And here is the insanity of the postal system. A week later here in central Ontario and I’m still waiting for mine. Sheesh….
  7. Looking really sharp, Jim. I am enjoying watching what you and Bill Allen are doing with the Mooneyes dragster.
  8. Beautiful builds. The 34 certainly looks like Beautiful from Iron Trap Garage.
  9. Welcome to the forum, Jimmie. Lots of good information here. If we ever get rid of the pandemic and things return back to (somewhat) normal, we have a group that meets at the Newmarket Michaels store the first Saturday of the month.
  10. If Atlantis does have the moulds perhaps they can rename the kit and just make it into a showrod tow truck (without the noose).
  11. Yay! Issue #210 arrived today. Doing the happy dance!
  12. Keep up the good work, Bill. Kudos to you for continuing to work your way through the issues that you encounter on this build.
  13. Yes, still waiting for 210 here. Hoping it’s not a repeat of #209. As I said elsewhere, I get the impression that our respective postal services forget that a magazine is a bought and paid for item that is just as important to the purchaser as a box from eBay or Amazon or whoever. They seem to treat magazines like they are flyers from KMart or Michaels or something.
  14. Thanks, Chris! I was telling the video "What about the wheels and tires? You forgot the wheels and tires!" I guess we'll find out when they hit the market.
  15. I get the feeling that our respective postal services forget that a magazine is a bought and paid for product that is just as important to the purchaser as that stupid box from Amazon or eBay. It’s not like you’re forgetting to deliver a flyer from Peevee mart or something.
  16. Ooohhhh! I really like your dream, Matt!
  17. I jumped right to the model section of the video. I saw a wheel and tire set that I think he forgot to mention. Did I miss it earlier on or did he keep piling stuff in front of the set and then he forgot it?
  18. Looking mighty fine so far, Bill. Jumping back into building by doing this much scratchbuilding is truly inspirational.
  19. Cool! I picked two of those vans, yesterday as well and a Mooneyes dragster for good measure.
  20. Thanks, Dave. After waiting another couple of weeks, I’ve been getting help from Dave Ambrose. I’m good until issue 214 so 209 is lost in the vast postal system of our 2 countries. We are sorting it out.
  21. Still waiting for 209. I sent an inquiry through the magazine website for subscription questions just to make sure I'm still good and it was the post office gone awry. Waiting to hear back as to my subscription status.
  22. Unfortunately they require the expensive PCR test. We can actually take the test before going across the border as long as we're back within 72 hours. But the cost is pricey either side of the border. Hopefully by next year they'll remove this requirement.
  23. I was really looking forward to coming to the show when your government announced that they were opening the border on November 8. Unfortunately our government is insisting on a pricey Covid 19 test to get back home. At $150 to $300 for the test, well, it’s just not going to happen. Look forward to seeing you next year.
  24. No, not yet as I still assume it’s the post office’s fault. I just can’t believe that the magazine can get to another continent but can’t reach an address on the same continent. Guys were buying them in store about 2 to 3 weeks ago (here in Canada). But as a subscriber I’m at the mercy of the post office. And at this time magazines are extremely low priority for them. That’s why I’m grumbling that I won’t see this new issue until January as magazines will have even lower priority during holiday parcel rush time. I’m not blaming anyone associated with the magazine, I’m kvetching about the postal services in our respective countries that don’t give a hoot about getting an item that you’ve bought and paid for, even as insignificant as a magazine, delivered to you.
  25. Wow! That looks sharp! Now I have 2 magazines to look forward to getting. 209 and this one. At the rate 209 is taking, I guess I won't see this one until after January 1, 2022.
