  1. Always a big job organizing printed material. And there's the poor wee Comet buried. Nice kit haul from the meeting (in What I got today).
  2. Am I the only one who entered this topic expecting Curly, Larry and Moe or Shemp? Don't know these other guys.
  3. Why "sadly"? So much of what makes a classic car is its engine. The sound of an air cooled VW or puckata, puckata, sound of a Model A or the sweet sound of a Ferrari. You take that away and you've lost the soul of the car. So much of an old Jaguar or Aston is their engine. You may as well go buy a Tesla and bury the poor antique in the ground. I'm not anti electric car as a modern vehicle. I"m considering at least a Hybrid for my next vehicle (too far from the city in a cold country to go full EV at this time). But I hate seeing it done to classic cars.
  4. Wow! Claude, that is one fantastic model! Great work.
  5. The Hobby shop that Bluenote mentions informed me that it is actually partially acetone based. They have been using Tamiya Lacquer thinner and Mr Color (Mr Hobby) lacquer thinners with good results. Acetone is not recommended as it would dry it out too much.
  6. Dan, you get to play with great "toys".
  7. Wow! What a fantastic collection. Great to see early sports car racing brought to life in scale form. Cool early open wheel racers too.
  8. Beautiful build of that McLaren. Cool to see the both of them together showing the evolution over 24 years.
  9. I agree. All the environmentalists and politicians can think of is taking stuff away. Our federal government is proposing a single use plastics ban. Yet when there is a disaster you see them delivering cases and cases of bottled water. What happens now? We recycle like crazy. Instead of taking away useful products from us, how about going after the people who are dumping plastic in the ocean/lakes. If companies who are responsible for recycling plastic are dumping illegally, go after them, not the little guy. These days people use skip the dishes and Alexa and want self driving cars and the stupid environmentalists think they’ll bring refillable containers to the grocery store? Yeah, right!
  10. Very cool build and I enjoyed the bit of history provided as well. Job well done, Matt.
  11. You certainly got the feel of the real wagon. Very cool!
  12. Very cool & different police pursuit vehicle.
  13. Sad news indeed. He was (at least to some of us) a legend in this hobby. R.I.P. Phyllis and Gerald.
  14. Great to see a Model A Ford built up in stock format. Job well done.
  15. Great job on the Buick, Ken. Kudos!
  16. Real nice job on the new Moebius kit, Chuck. Look forward to your build of the long bed when it comes out.
  17. Sorry, my bad. I was told at the Toronto Auto show that they only came as the four door model with the tiny bed. While we're on the topic, I don't understand why they all have to be jacked up like 4X4's even when they are just 2WD. My Courier and B2000 were a great height. Easy to get into and to load stuff into the bed around the same height as my current CRV. I had a heck of a time trying to get into the Ranger at the Auto Show. I get a lot of people want that type of thing but back in the day you had a choice between normal height and nosebleed height (an exaggeration....). I guess despite having owned mini trucks I'm just not a truck guy, at least not by the modern definition of everything having to be bigger and higher.
  18. Dan, my point was the new Ranger you can only get in full 4 door cab with a tiny bed. It's like those others you mentioned. It's more SUV than truck. If it was like my old B2000 extra cab with just a couple of jump seats and a larger bed it would be much more useful as a truck.
  19. Had a 1981 Ford Courier and a 1986 Mazda B2000. They were great trucks and all I ever needed. The current small trucks are too big and and the new Ford with a 4 door body and a tiny bed is just ridiculous. Not to mention they want as much for them as a big truck. I think they have missed the market but maybe the market is for an SUV with a tiny bed on the back.
  20. Wow! Beautiful work, Claude!

    Drag-u-la

Very nice job on the Drag-U-La!
  22. Very nice job on the Dodge Van!
  23. I've sen the little film you mentioned. Thought it was a neat concept and great to see you bring it to life in model form. You did a great job in building the model and trailer.
  24. This is a most beautiful build, Claude. Congrats on a job well done.
  25. So you’re leaving Peggy Lipton off the list in favour of a cat? Sorry that makes no sense to me. To those of a certain age Peggy means much more to us than a stupid meme cat. She did great work in Twin Peaks as well.
