Ray you have to be willing to push your limits and accept that you may fail. If you do you fall short then figure out why and do it beter the next time. That is how you can improve.
Sorry don't buy into the ruined part. I keep an open mind. There is always some idea useful in any concept. As they say one man's trash is anothers treasure. The world would be pretty dull without variety.
Remember with the exception of the hemisphere all those cars were commisioned to be built and designed for them.
Looking forward to the results. Really would like to see the Grand Master as one. Would be happy with any others. Just hope that Revell follows through with new tooling for the choices as promised.
Looking forward to see what the choices are. Hoping this project is a success maybe will offer another poll for what to offer for something like some new factory stock options.
Blunc the link to the old magazines is great. Your right about the car being innovative. In fact in one of the shows he entered he really riled Barris. Barris slapped him because he told the people that he built a car for they would win. Of course he took Barris to court.
Didn't think you would get them from Harry. I suspect that the car used for measuring fenders were different. Those cars were hand made. I remember reading an article on 32 Fords and even they had differences.
I'm curious to se how you deal with the issue.
Not my point. I was wondering if Rolls he has has the same issue. If they do not have the same issue you might be able to use those. I have a feeling though that you are going to have to very carefully modify one of your fenders.
Cato if you put the fenders side by side it might give you and idea where the differnce starts. There are some holes in the flanges that you could yse to line them up. I don't think not doing anything is practical from looking at the comparison it seems that would cause more problems. Which fender works the best at this point?
My suggestion would be to put some relief cuts in the fender you want to change to match one to the other. Maybe the fenders weren't symetrical on the car they measured
