I think oil is only part of the story not only is it used to manufacture but also it drives up the cost of shipping.. Licensing plays a factor. Fewer kits are being sold so the price goes up to make the same profit. In the case of round 2 they are trying to get back the cost of buying the company. Oil tends to get credit but it is a lot of factors.

GM troubles won't go away until start looking at the big picture. Putting off recalls makes sense when you only are concerned with the hear and now. If we do a recall now it will cause a loss for this quarter. If you told these guys that the world was ending they would only care if it was in this quarter. Otherwise that a problem for the next quarter.

Inconsiderate people. Went to get groceries today. Not super hot today but still like to park in the shade. However some self absorbed idiot thought he should take up two prime spots in the shade with his pickup. Guess nobody else counts. Second was out doing some errands and just love the people that don't kick their high beams down. Especially pickups which always kil my eyes at night. it woukd be nice if people learned to be considerate of others and not be so self absorbed.

There's a lot more to this story. It seems source interlink was also a distributer. They had a lock on Walmart. Its seems that Time took exception to a raise in fees and pulled out from source interlink. Source interlink went away as a result of that and there eere 6000 jobs lost including the magazine staff let go. Now there are only two major distributers in North America one in the US and the other in Canada

Today went to town and saw that the setup for the fireworks stands. Different organizations use this for fundraising. The logic escapes me since California has had drought conditions the last 4 or 5 years and they are expecting extreme fire danger this year. They setup the basecamp a month early. Wish they would ban public sales and have a public display. In an age where we have to tell people to not be stupid Its not a good idea for people to be allowed to use fireworks under the circumstances.

Yes this is how they bronze baby shoes. The base paint contains copper which can be plated. I was looking at this process to be able to plate plastic parts with electroplating. It depends on what you are plating and what finish you want.

Another way to do it would be paint a conductive coat on the area you want and then electroplate the part. The plating would only be where the conductive paint was applied.

Stupid drivers irked me today. Come out of the driveway did the look in all directions twice. Now the street is barely wide enough for two cars and no on street parking. Have to watch that on coming traffic isn't taking the middle. Start going down the street and glance in rear view mirror and see a pickup so close I can't see his headlights. If I had to stop he was rear ending me. Get to town and heading to post office and am on a one way street . Down at intersection car turns ignoring one way signs and the fact the both lanes have cars coming at him so he has to dive into a driveway to get out of the way. This happens for a trip to town that is about 6 miles. Doesn't include the usual red light runners.
