  1. This is a great series of videos that showcase 3d printing, traditional model building techniques, and painting and weathering.

  2. Nicely done. Come out great.
  3. This youtube channel has some amazing builds.
  4. Productive modeling sessions are always fullfilling.
  5. I had a thought how many of you that are having problems are running an adblocker. It could possibly interfering with the site buttons. Just a thought. Might be worth testing.
  6. Another avenue for modeling information is youtube channels. I've been exploring some of the various youtube sites and have found a wealth of information. I like it because it's a more face to face approach.
  7. One of many tributes to Donn Yost.
  8. Exactly. And the irony is that this is great illustration of why forums need to have boundaries on certain topics. I come here for the modeling aspect and not get bombarded with subjects outside that realm.
  9. I agree. Hybrids that don't need to be plugged in make the most sense. You get the advantages of both gas and electric power.
  10. Build more models has become my mantra.
  11. Ideally that would be the case. However there are too many people these days that are unwilling to agree to disagree. Their attitude is am right your wrong and it just gets really ugly.
  12. Doubt it will happen. The tooling is pretty much worthless becuase it can't be used in the newer injection modeling machines. Okie has basically the name. Licensing would still have to be obtained to manufacture new kits. I think round 2 has projects of their own that make more sense and will produce more modern technology kits. The biggest problem is that people equate the prices on eBay as an indication that the kits are going to be a financial success. Auctions prices only indicate that there were multiple people that were willing to spend the money and nothing more. The basis for producing a kit is there is sufficient demand to get a return on investment on the costs of producing a kit otherwise its not going to happen. Although scanning and restoring or creating older kits is a little less expensive there are still substantial cost in producing those kits. And again there has to be enough demand to justify those costs.
  13. Donn Yost - master model builder and model painter guru has lost his battle with brain cancer. This has been confirmed. Donn happily shared his vast modeling knowledge and expertise. My condolences to his family and friends.
  14. "Name that tune" was a popular game show where a contestant was given several notes from a tune and was expecting to identify the tune.
  15. Song birds are pleasant to listen to in the morning.
  16. Always sounds like you're going to get something substantial however all you get are insulting pittance. The only one that make any money are the lawyers.
  17. Sad news indeed. Condolences to his family and friends. We've lost a great deal of knowledge and expertise with his passing.
  18. Hey that’s one way to get rid of a husband. No need for attorneys but it also eliminates the possibility of alimony.
  19. Ironically when the first automobile became more prevalent I'm sure that there were similar conversions. When wagons were pulled by horses and mules it was simple to get food for them. There no real gas stations and roads were pretty minimal. What was adequate for a wagon wasn't necessarily the best for a car. As far as racing goes it will adapt and continue. Safety features will be mandated to protect the drivers and spectators as has been done in the past.
  20. Reference research is important when creating a model replica.
  21. Scale building choice is based on personal preference.
  22. Here are somethings to try. https://windowsreport.com/website-buttons-not-working/
  23. Believe what you want but make sure it's based on facts rather than someone's fantasy.
