  1. Great project. It's great to see how the 3d printing is changing the hobby.
  2. It is always important to read and follow the safety information for any products. Not following recommendations can lead to serious health issues.
  3. I would recommend googling aliexpress complaints to see the types of complaints and how they deal with them.
  4. Just a thought but add some rust and weathering and make a grungy barn find racer from it. Just a thought.
  5. Brakes are a necessity to avoid accidents.
  6. I agree. As far as your recommendation that's what the mods were doing. Unfortunately we have individuals that believe that if they give you an inch then take a mile. I also hope that the thread can come back as a lot of the appropriate posts were truly funny.
  7. Bear with me, we are in for a bumpy ride into reality.
  8. Secret society rules the universe from afar.
  9. I agree. There's plenty of funny stuff that fits those categories. There are plenty of venues to go to for the controversial stuff. Let's face it it's nice to have an oasis to come to without be constantly reminded of all the turmoil in the world today.
  10. I think the issue with the decanted Tamiya paints is that the final coats need to be wet. The technique is mist coats to start and then wet final coats.
  11. Actually I think it's an improvement. With old style the tire is trapped between the outside lips of the two wheel haves. With the paddle style the tire is held out by the paddle edges. If you want to use the new tires on older rims then add the paddles to the old rim.
  12. One time offer said the mafia boss.
  13. Here I go again said the man caught in a time loop.
  14. Die is something that will happen to all of us eventually.
  15. I just Google FANJESTIC and it is a scam. Do not give them your credit card info if asked.
  16. I'm disappointed I expected the clock to work.
  17. Beautiful work. That dash is amazing as are the floor mats. Goes to show what a true craftsman can do with an older kit.
  18. Fiction and non-fiction often seems to be indistinguishable these days.
  19. The thing will people using their personal vehicles is the insurance. A long time ago I worked for a courier service. The job didn't last long because the courier company wanted proof of insurance from my insurance company. Insurance company said no as my policy was was personal use and not for business usage. I doubt that changed and I wonder how many people using their personal automobiles are not covered when they are doing these jobs.
  20. Great color. Nice work fixing the dash issue. Test fitting always reduces the potential for fit issues. One suggestion on the paint. If the paint is really thin you should try reducing the pressure and shooting closer(you might want to try this out on a scrap body and see if it helps). Wondering if your paint issue was the paint drying too fast. Hope you can save the paint as the color looks great.
  21. It was actually yesterday morning. Had summer service checkup for air conditioning scheduled for 10am. Wake up at 6:30 with my day planned. Just as I am getting up power goes off. No problem there's plenty of time till service. Now morning routine is shot can't make coffee or fix breakfast, and don't want to use phone too much to conserve battery. Get email and text from pge but no estimated time of power restoration. Finally call air conditioning company and explain that power is out and no clue when it coming back on and reschedule for afternoon. Finally at 10:15am power comes back on but vague explanation that outage was weather related. Get some coffee made, put phone on charger. My sister called and ask me to go back there house to put air on as they had a doctor's appointment. Came back home and called air conditioning company but tach was in Chico and was not going to be able to come sooner. Service did get done. But it's amazing how much a power outage can mess up a day. Wish pge had been better with estimation of when power was going to be restored.
  22. It boils down to personal preference and choices. Not every builder is concerned with every issue with a kit. I'm sure someone could be happily building Palmer kits somewhere. Just because you don't want to build a particular kit because of the flaws to see doesn't mean that it's trash. If you do have issue's with a kit somebody may have come up with an easy fix for the problem.
  23. Impressive scratchbuilding. Very clean work.
