  1. Hpiguy does about 100 reviews in a year. That's building and painting the model, shooting the video ,and editing the video in 3 days. His goal is to review a lot of kits. He would not be able to do that many if he spent the time cleaning up mold lines, sink marks, and ejection pin marks.
  2. Great project. Coming along nicely.
  3. Doubt at this point it would be a plastic kit. Doubt many even know about it. The other problem is there were only 50 actual cars built and there weren't enough for a drag racing or stock car version. If anything it's more likely there would be a 3d printed version.
  4. Sorry didn't realize that was the wrong video. Here is the correct link.
  5. Be sure to check this video for building tips on a couple of gotchas in the Willys kit.
  6. I agree. If you are building kits for review then the goal is to show how the kit comes together and you get it done quickly. If you are building for yourself take your time to get the best result. If you are paying for the kits that you build then strife to build the best possible model possible. And if your goal is to build for contests you will need to make sure you cover all the basics for a chance to be competitive.

  12. Regular spray cans are not a problem.
  13. Dries is what your paint job but before dries be sure to keep out the flies.
  14. Yes that is what the figures are made of.
  15. Plus the advantage of the paasche airbrush is its manufactured in the United States.
  16. Those aerosol cans are a waste of money. You can not get a decent paint job with them. As you use them they get cold and the pressure drops. That is the source of your paint problems. You need a compressor and a regulator to be able to get a decent paint job.
  17. I saw another spam attack a little. I'd rather have to deal with necessary countermeasures than have to deal with a flood of junk posts. The bots can create mayhem in a short period of time.
  18. Custom vehicles have been around since the wheel was first invented.
  19. I think that is a reasonable assumption.
  20. It's unfortunate that there are people who persist in these attacks. Doesn't seem very smart to attack this site when everyone has multiple knifes.
  21. My deepest condolences for your loss. I always enjoyed following your dad's builds. I was most impressed with his custom 1949 mercury custom. He came up with a novel approach for lowering the top for a car that has seen many custom versions throughout the years.
