  1. Yes it is. Last minute idea.
  2. Haven't ordered anything since July, and it took a bit to get here because of Covid delays. But not overly extraordinary. Took longer for the Scale Productions order in July.
  3. Calling it done. Just some quick shots as I won't set up the photo booth until later this month. Again, period custom per a club challenge, meaning nothing could be done to it that wasn't 1964 or earlier. Got the resin body some years back at the DuPage County Toy Show. Given the body, it would have "poppers" for the doors. Trying to figure out the gas cap door, I decided that it would be in the trunk (ala some European sports cars). Did drill for a frenched antenna and frenched the taillights with 59 Caddy lamps. I am sure our club Adjudicator of All Classic Automotive Genres (Dave Fletcher) will find somethings I incorrectly did. But it is not a type that I have a big interest in and needed to do a lot of research
  4. I scan mine (or pull down a PDF copy) and try options on my computer if I am trying graphics, unsure of body color or deciding on multitone paint jobs. Usually, though, I find photos of the 1:1 in different color combinations and select from that
  5. A great idea that I did not know about, but too late for that. The battery is molded to the side of the engine bay. So, I would have had to cut that out and replace early in the build
  6. Final test fitting before assembling, touch up and final polish. Hubcaps staying off until assembled.
  7. No need for a grill, just skewers
  8. Test fit on exhaust system. Anyone have an idea of where this is going?
  9. Well, I think I've got the chassis and interior as far as I can go at the moment. So, it is on to tackle the decals and other body work.
  10. I'm a charter member of that club
  11. Pulled this guy back out as to get the bodywork to a finished state. BMF is about half done. I think, in retrospect, the side body trim is too large. I was concerned that the dark color would "swallow" a smaller trim piece. Anyway, it is what it is and staying there.
  12. Tweaking some of the details while getting up the courage to do the body decals. A couple of people told me their red stripes came apart when trying to apply. I did make a hi-res scan of the decal sheet (have been doing that lately for all started builds) and could mask and paint if they fail. But, I would hate to go through the pain.
  13. Would not the AMT 72 Blazer be another option?
  14. Well, I pulled out my wood decals. On first glance the Uschi decal seems too large to use for dash/console. The decal I used on the Firebird was a Fujimi wood panel decal that appears to no longer be available. Here are some types of wood decals, some may still be available out there.
  15. I have that set. It is pretty good. I will still check my stash this PM. The decal sheet I used MAY have been Scale Equipment versus HLJ. If Scale Equipment, they don't do those any more.
  16. I had a decal sheet in my stash that I bought from Hobby Link Japan that was very close. I used it on my 68 Firebird Sprint. I will check if the have the manufacturer info still available. I have some left, but not for trade.
  17. Noting is currently listed on their eBay store as well
  18. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/vans--recreational/amt-open-road-chevy/
  19. For whatever reason, mine was in good shape. But the Senna is of way more interest
  20. That is why when I built the Revell 68 Firebird, I chose this engine and did it as a Sprint.
  21. Got these shots at the Museum of American Speed about 4 years ago.
  22. Interesting. Just checked the instruction sheet and it looked like a standard rear transaxle. Should have pulled the kit out of the stash and checked. That would be a prime candidate since readily available on eBay for decent prices.
