Moebius 65 Plymouth Satellite - Update 01/25/2016
Exotics_Builder replied to Exotics_Builder's topic in WIP: Model Cars
My replacement paint arrived yesterday. Scale Finishes had to resend it as the original shipment got lost. Of course, if I hadn't accidentally spilled the original paint bottle contents (about half the bottle) I wouldn't have had to reorder. -
1957 Ford Sedan Delivery - Update 01-25-2016

Did a quick test fit and looks pretty good. Cleaning up the body and retesting the fit in the next day or two. -

Looks like the Revell AG repackaged Protar kit. -
Continuing 2015 as the year of out of the normal kit building, I am culminating with a 57 Ford Sedan Delivery using a Jimmy Flintstone body and the Revell 57 Del Rio kit. This will be a mild custom. Here are some hints of the direction I am heading:

Moebius 65 Plymouth Satellite - Update 01/25/2016
Exotics_Builder replied to Exotics_Builder's topic in WIP: Model Cars
While waiting for my paint from Scale Finishes, I stripped, cleaned up and re-primed the body and hood, plus also finished the interior platform assembly (although I just noticed that need to paint the turn signal stalk silver). Once the paint arrives (already a month since I ordered it) I can this back on track to finish. One thing I noticed on the interior is that there is a spot on the center console for a gauge but none included on the decal sheet. Photos of the actual car show it to likely be a Tach, so I took a decal from the stash and applied it. It may not be 100% accurate, but it is buried low. The interior does have a lot of very nice engraving, and, yes Moebius provides it, door lock knobs. -
Scale Finishes??

I too have the same problem. Jameston said he is resending the shipment. He said, in his email, that several orders did not arrive. He did indicate he is working two jobs and has minimum time to fulfill orders. Sad to say, that I started a PayPal dispute but haven't yet pulled the trigger. This is a real bummer as there has never been anything like this with Scale Finishes before. -
I don't know what to say

Or? -
Nice job. Have the very same kit sitting in the basement stash, unbuilt. I'll likely attack the Moebius 61 before I get to this.

Scale Finishes??

He is usually quite fast in delivery and usually responds no later than a couple of days. This is unusual for him. -
Waiting on this one!!!!!!!!!!

Any 1/24 Aventador J around?

Only diecast that I am aware. Haven't seen any announcements yet either. -
Scale Finishes??

He was at an Arizona show and when he returned, his internet was down. I have an order coming that he updated as shipped but have yet to get. He did get back through his email. And he is on FB as well. If my paint order doesn't arrive soon, I am pinging him and then decide if I go to PayPal. -
Over the last couple of years every time I've interviewed them or asked questions at a show, the response is that there is NO interest in doing any new parts packs or reissuing any old ones. There does not appear to be enough return for the investment. And the last issue of the parts pack engines lack of sales is used as an example. Right now, other than AMT's, Casters like Chief Joseph (Fireball Modelworks) are the best sources. I'm hoping Revell will eventually reconsider, but it does not appear, to me, likely in the near term.

I was trying to do a simple edit with font size and color and it didn't like it.

You think they may have meant Cindy Williams? American Graffiti, Laverne and Shirley or Happy Days related? -
Are you using Internet Explorer? Do you also have Google Chrome on your machine? If so, try that.

I had the same thing happen a few days ago, Then it eventually worked.

I wish I had brought my camera to take more detail photos from various angles. I am not a NASCAR fan, but those that are could make a better assessment. The obvious thing to me was the molded hood which likely means a curbside/snap kit.

It was brought by Revell to the GTR Auto Modelers meeting last Saturday, November 7. I was there along with other members. The individual posting it is the GTR Club Secretary who shot a photo of it along with items brought by members. The body displayed a thinner passenger side B pillar than driver side. From our NASCAR aficionados, that is a correct depiction.

I go downstairs into the "stash cave" and see about 800 unbuilt models. This year I've got five either done or near completion. So doing the math... However. looking at this list, the Ford GT, ZL1, C7 Foose and 67 Nickey are likely on the list. The ZL1 can be a good base for a custom car. And the Foose C7 may be a better option to do a Z06 C7.R since Revell indicated they are currently not planning any C7 Z06. I, personally, am not a big fan of Fords, Mopars, Porsches, or 29-30 Fords. Not that I would not necessarily build one, but not my main interest. For those that are into them, I'm glad they'll get their chance to buy. I agree with Jonathon on the getting the RoG versus the USA until it is known whether there is warpage in the packing. Also, for those who want to deal with the undersized wheels of the 918, Plamoz wheels just announced corrected wheels for the kit. Also, if I understood correctly, it may be some time before any more 57 Ford variants (aka Ranchero) might show up.

Moebius 65 Plymouth Satellite - Update 01/25/2016

That air cleaner decal is part of the kit decal sheet. Look at the original post and you'll see the entire sheet. Moebius did a great job on the decals as well as the kit.
