    There is a YouTube video of CSX2001 in the 60s that was taken in color, and it shows the car painted red. If I could find out what color it was when it ran the Tour de France in '64, I'd do it.

    Went and saw the real car today, and the owner said that the original name of the car was in fact "Hell's Bells" when it ran originally in 1964. The Cobra did not earn the nickname "El Cid" until it was repainted in black.

    I would also go with the TV version as well. If Round 2 decided to do a 1/25th scale TV car, they will need to contact the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, where the actual screen-used car is. Hopefully they have a stock '66 Imperial in their archives to use. I have a stock '66 kit in my stash but with a badly warped windshield frame.
