  1. Looks like I'll be doing the 1965 Shelby GT350 that ran in the actual Cannonball Run in 1979.
  2. Looks awesome!
  3. Would love to see the Corvair if they do it. I'll take ten of them if Round 2 ever comes out with it.
  4. Went and saw the real car today, and the owner said that the original name of the car was in fact "Hell's Bells" when it ran originally in 1964. The Cobra did not earn the nickname "El Cid" until it was repainted in black.
  5. I will use this topic as a guide for my GT1 build.
  6. Looking good!
  7. I would also go with the TV version as well. If Round 2 decided to do a 1/25th scale TV car, they will need to contact the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, where the actual screen-used car is. Hopefully they have a stock '66 Imperial in their archives to use. I have a stock '66 kit in my stash but with a badly warped windshield frame.
  8. I'll do my predictions by brand. AMT (Round 2): 1965 Corvair Corsa annual re-release, 1966 Chrysler Imperial, 1962 Lincoln Continental, 1966 Ford Thunderbird, 1966 Ford Mustang GT, Sonny & Cher Mustangs, 1967 Mercury Cougar MPC (Round 2): George Barris Mail Truck Moebius: Chevrolet Corvair (any year), 1953 Packard Clipper Polar Lights (Round 2): 1/25th scale Green Hornet Black Beauty Revell Germany: Ferrari 250 GT California Revell-Monogram: 1940 Ford Woody, Shelby 427 Cobra Essex Wire, Porsche 904 GTS Slot Car, 1950 Ford Woody, 1965 Shelby GT350R Le Mans
  9. The Black Widow should be interesting.
  10. Looks awesome!
  11. I will most likely be using this topic as a guide when I build my Bullitt Charger using the same kit.
  12. That grille looks INCREDIBLE!!! Well done!
  13. Do you have an exact code for Tamiya sand?
  14. The LSR car would look awesome.
  15. Looking awesome, JC!
  16. Oh, that? It's a sticker meaning that the car passed technical inspection at Sebring that year. VRM sells those separately in their Number Circles & Things sheet (VRM-010).
  17. Currently working on three of these Monogram 904s. One of them will have a scratchbuilt "Kamm" tail. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
  18. Will we get a John Milner dragster?
  19. Man, this is getting better and better! Now I know what to get to emulate bungee cords.
  20. Hopefully there's still some time because I need to get a replacement windshield for my '66 Imperial and a few more parts for my '63 T-Bird. I guess I waited too long on this one.
