I don’t know the specs. It belongs to my employer. It’s a high roof van with a long wheelbase (I don’t know if it is offered in different lengths, but it’s LWB compared to other work vans I have driven). The color is nice; a dark metallic blue that is no longer offered. The newer vans in the fleet are a bit lighter.

What did you see on the road today?

At the same grocery store. I was hoping to see old-school traction bars on the Nova. It was still cool without them. -
There was an episode of Sledgehammer in which a check cashing store was a front for a counterfeit cash operation. A cop confronted the guy who ran the store and said “You’re giving out two dollars cash for every dollar in checks you take in. How do you plan to make money doing that?” He replied “We’re gonna make it up in volume”. Yeah. Not 100% relevant.

Looking for a good hobby shop in Nashville.

Oh yeah- I also saw KFC’s commercials for Nashville Hot Chicken. I tried it and didn’t care for it. Same for another local restaurant. It was crispy chicken with dry cayenne pepper on it. Didn’t care for that, either. I’m a foodie and I listen to several food podcasts. The story of NHC was on one. Back in the 1930’s, a guy with a chicken restaurant was cheating on his girlfriend. She found out and made him a chicken dinner that was so spicy it would teach him a lesson. He loved it and made loads of money selling it. It’s a business trip but I’ll make it a foodie destination. I’m a plumber and several of us are going for training on water heaters. -
I wanted to reply and say there is an old Protar model of a Lambo tractor. I’ve seen it on eBay. I’m no longer sure it was made by Protar. Maybe I had that idea due to keyword spamming. The only thing my search turned up was this photo. It’s for an auction site but apparently this lot has already sold.

It doesn’t sound good. It’s about the same in Austin. My new Local Hobby Shop Is an hour away. I always buy from them unless it’s something they can’t get. I like being able to walk into a shop with a good selection and knowledgeable staff. There’s value in that, IMHO. That’s why I pay a little bit more than mail order. Thanks for the answers. -

It’s not in a kit. It’s 3D printed by Texas 3D Customs. I’ve bought several engines from him. Some for me and some to ship to a friend in New Zealand. The last batch included a Ford Cammer. It was spectacular. He also offers blown and carbureted. https://tx3dcustoms.com/products/ford-427-sohc-hilborn-injected

A Dumpster

Go all out on the “dare to be different” idea. Make it a street rod. -
Heller missed the peak on the top of the front fenders (unless there is another 1/1 with rounded fenders). I put a thin brass wire on them with a tiny bit of super glue, then added a bit of putty to blend them in.

A Labrador Retriever sitting down. It could be a passenger in a car or motorcycle sidecar.

Wow. Lots of cool kits there. I must get the Mercedes 170V pickup, and the Boeing 2707. For anyone not familiar with the plane, it was going to be a Mach 3 airliner that would have been 302 feet long.

Paint Bleed Through Masking Tape. Is There a Fix?
LDO replied to TheCamaroKid's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Are you burnishing it down? This was done with Tamiya masking tape, trimmed with an X-Acto knife, painted with Tamiya spray can lacquers. -
One of the magazines had a build article on a “ZR-32” way back in the early ‘90s. It was an AMT 1932 Chevy roadster with the LT-5, rectangular headlights, and scratch built seats with cushioning made from half round styrene. It was painted purple. That’s about all I remember. It may have been a model of a real car, but I could be wrong about that.
