  1. I built a box for a more modern chassis; Revell's 1999 Chevy pickup. The box turned out really nice. I found out it is not easy to build a square (rectangular) box from sheet plastic. Clamps from the LHS helped with the 90 degree joints. I even milled holes for the running lights. I then found out that most service companies don't use box trucks. They are too big and fuel thirsty. (I was an apprentice at a construction plumbing company at the time I posted the OP. They used box trucks.) I ended up not finishing the truck model. I gave the box to a friend who builds commercial vehicles. Here's the box, with some other stuff http://media.fotki.com/1_p,wwkbsbgwbkrqfrtxwbbkrtkwswr,vi/dtsbqsktwxdtrtgqgrq/3/35189/329049/HPIM0131-vi.jpg
  2. If it's T-section styrene, Raboesch does make 2mm x 2mm. It was sold in the US briefly. A hobby shop in Austin still has a display, but most of the stock is gone. I just stopped by there. They do have a 2mm x 2mm I-section. Maybe you could slice off a bit for a T. Either way, 2x2 is made, it just might take some searching. Could be easy on eBay from Europe.
  3. If you mean styrene strip with a "T" cross-section, look for Raboesch brand. They all kinds of profiles that Evergreen and Plastruct do not have.
  4. Is there a way for each forum to show number of threads, rather than number of posts?
  5. Revell's upcoming '29 roadster or Takom's new 1/35 scale FlaK 40 128mm twin anti-aircraft gun.
  6. There are other resin T roadster bodies out there. Perry's Resin lists one. There's also one with stock hood and grille. Check here for a thread about the need for a '26/'27 Tee roadster ("Tee" spelled out. Not just the letter). But yeah, I would also love to see a kit of that. In the other thread, my suggestion was for a T roadster body on the upcoming Model A chassis, with engine choices from Revell/Monogram Midget racers; a Ford V8-60 and/or Offenhauser 4-cylinder.
  7. "This post is hidden because you have chosen to ignore posts by midnightprowler. View it anyway?"
  8. Awww. I forgot. Saying that other people's ideas are boring is only OK when you do it. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=103584&page=2 Go tell a moderator.
  9. Wow. An injection molded Cadillac lead sled. I never woulda thunk it. Glad I voted for it.
  10. Yeah. When people ask for opinions, I give mine. I'm such a rebel.
  11. It's in reply to the thread title. Maybe I should have added "I hope not. I'd rather see..."
  12. I'd vote for a modified reissue of the Model A roadster, this time with a '27 T body. I have no doubt that would sell better than a wagon.
  13. Just curious. I think it would be cool to make a model of an "updated" Strosek twin supercharger setup from the '80s. Two roots blowers connected by a curved plenum, but it had injectors at the s/c inlets. Wondering if any superchargers are made today that can run dry, but have the intake on top, rather than at the back end. A Lysholm 3300 R may, but I'm not sure.
  14. Maybe the caps are causing a glitch.
  15. I was surprised that Toys r Us is still in business. The local one closed. I figured it was the whole chain, like some other chains.
  16. Well, yeah, I meant that body with the rest of their Model A kit. Also- my phone apparently doesn't recognize Revell's name.
  17. Jimmy Flintstone does offer a roadster. Stock body dimensions from cowl back, no fenders, with track nose. IIRC, Perry's Resin offers one, or did at one time. Edit: Perry's Resin does have a T Roadster on their website. It's listed at $35 and has a stock grille shell and hood, plus fenders/running boards. But yeah, it sure would be cool if Rebellion offered the same thing.
  18. I believe that's an AMT '37 Chevy.
  19. Is there a number for "I can't believe they're making a street rod when there is no kit of the boring sedan I drove to high school"?
  20. Maybe Revell can do a second rebody of their upcoming Model A kit. That would an awesome model. Either of the Midget engines would be great in it.
  21. Ah. Ernie Immerso's "Golden Star" '25 T roadster in orange. Awesome show car. Love that engine.
  22. The image isn't showing up. Is it a '27 T roadster with track nose, yellow/gold paint, and tons of chrome? If so, I saw it at a Dallas Autorama back around 1990 or so. Really cool car.
  23. Whoa. Cosworth DFVs. Nice. I may have to find one of those kits. That Ford DOHC with intakes between cams is pretty wild, too. I could suspend disbelief for a model. That reminds me of another cool engine; The V-12 out of Ferrari's 365GTC. It also had carbs between the cams, but exhaust in the normal location. Maybe I could make new heads for the V-12 out of Fujimi's Daytona. That engine in an AMBR-winning '32 Ford back around 1987 or so. There are older V-12s in Ferrari 250GTO, 250 Testa Rossa, and 275 GTB/GTS kits. That has actually been done in the real world. Eric Zausner had a one-off car built by Steve Moal with a Colombo V-12. There is also a real '32 Ford street rod with one of these engines. It's not DOHC, but a Corvette C5 drive train, with its torque tube and transaxle, would a great foundation for a street rod that handles like a road racer. Lots of ideas for Revell's upcoming roadster.
  24. Here in the real world, most of us don't know the first thing about hacking. But hey- THANK YOU for telling the whole world about a security issue on this site. Maybe someone can bring the whole thing crashing down. If that happens, and I can't communicate with you because of it, let me offer you a preemptive pat on the back.
