  1. I'm on year 3 of a subscription. I have never received a damaged issue. Obviously, Gregg likes me better. Of course I'm joking. Blaming Gregg & co for what happens after the magazine leaves the publisher is retarded.
  2. Are they reissuing the 250LM "Wacky Racer"?
  3. . Look for old issues of Motor Racing Replica News. I believed it was in print for most or all of the 1990s, maybe beyond 2000.
  4. A weird side effect; the smell coming through my skin. It has happened before, but with this crazy amount of garlic, the smell is like cutting fluid (oil) that we use when threading gas pipe. It's a stinky industrial smell. So bizarre.
  5. I like Fotki. I've had a paid account there since 2000 or 2001.
  6. By posting photos directly from your hard drive, you have a limit of how many you can post.
  7. A lot of people are too cheap to pay for an online storage account.
  8. No, not on drugs. Too much garlic. No joke. I made Greek pizza. I roast garlic and spread it on the crust before adding the the rest of the ingredients. I've been making this stuff for years, and slowly increased the amount of roasted garlic. Tuesday morning, my stomach was in serious pain. I was bloated and nauseous. I've never felt like that before. I went home from work after just a couple of hours. I also took today off. There is no official "do not exceed" amount, but 2-3 cloves a day is a general guideline. My pizza had 2 whole BULBS of roasted garlic on it. If you've never roasted garlic, you should try it. After roasting, it spreads like butter. Used in moderation, it adds a lot of flavor to many dishes. Awesome Greek pizza (may not really be Greek, but who cares?): Add to your favorite pizza crust: roasted garlic marinated artichoke hearts diced onions sliced mushrooms sliced Kalamata olives diced Feta cheese (works better than crumbled Feta) top with paper-thin Roma tomato slices Yeah, it's pizza without tomato sauce or mozzarella, but it is good. Trust me. Just don't go nuts with the roasted garlic.
  9. I've been following this on my phone, with its tiny screen, but today is the first time I checked it out on my home computer...since page 1 or 2, anyway. Wow. Very impressive.
  10. Are they reissuing this? I haven't seen anything about it.
  11. Looks like a 250 LM to me. The box also says 250 Le Mans.
  12. I did some searching a few days ago. The newest posts/discussions were a year and a half old. I wonder if the project stalled. It's an interesting idea, but what would be really cool is an American V-12 that us mere mortals could afford to buy. The. Falconer V-12 is cool, but you won't see many in street rods. Nelson Racing Engines have an aluminum block DOHC V-8 with up to 500ci displacement, but it has a billet block. I don't even want to know what that costs.
  13. I'm sorry, but that bag did make it to the curb.
  14. If you want to try stretching a Monogram Caddy, I may have parts. I threw away two incomplete kits last weekend while cleaning the garage. I don't remember if I took that bag to the curb. Let me know. I can check when I get home.
  15. I carry a small nitrogen tank in my work van. It holds 3000psi. I'm not sure you can airbrush straight from the tank. I wouldn't trust my Nitrogen regulator to go that low and be accurate. Maybe get a nitrogen tank and then a portable air tank with a regulator for airbrush pressure. I exchange tanks at plumbing and a/c supply stores. Not all stores offer this. As for where to get one, check with places like Airgas. If you don't want to lease a tank, search Craigslist in the Tools category.
  16. I wear a glove with vaseline in it, to keep one hand soft for my wife.
  17. I wish one of you welders could teach me how to TIG. Tough to find instruction if you only want it for a hobby. And yeah...that's some mad skills in those pics.
  18. I did it a couple of times as a teenager, back in the mid-'80s. I got two kits that I did not want at all; '69-ish GTO and an early '70s Firebird. I had zero interest in those.
  19. Veyron and McLaren sound cool. Box scale...not so cool.
  20. I wanna see it done with the upcoming 1/16 bus and 1/18 Huey rotors. Hmmmm yeah...and a hippie door gunner shouting "I SAID NO BOGARTING!!!"
  21. Lead foil. It will lay down like a scale representation of real seat belts. As for where to get it...not sure. A friend gave me some from wine bottles about 20 years ago. I'm not sure any wine or champagne still has lead foil on it. It's now aluminum foil coated with plastic.
  22. I've never seen anything like that for sale. You might be able to make your own substitute, though. Make a ring with the right ID, then split it into three pieces. Put it around your wheel and put the chuck jaws around your ring. A two-piece ring in a four-jaw chuck might work better.
  23. Wow. 19 items listed on the entire site. Good luck. I wonder, though, is this how it was supposed to work? Someone makes a post here to direct people there. Seems like it would be easier to just allow selling here. Could be aliens, too.
