Mack Cruseliner
Mopar - D replied to Mopar - D's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Thanks guys. One thing that I have not seen is in this kit the front tires are smaller than the rear tires in width and height. I’m getting close to being ready to spray the frame and if the rains hold off until this afternoon I should have updated pictures of it painted. -
After finishing the Petty race car hauler I didn’t know what I wanted to build next so I asked my girlfriend to pick out my next build from my unbuilt collection of cars and trucks and she picked the Mack Cruseliner and the black and yellow colors for it. I’ve finished the engine and working on the frame. I’ve also painted the cab yellow and will be adding black along the bottom and around the windshield.

Very interesting build of this GMC. The V6 in there looks tiny. Nice progress so far I’ll be following this. -
Mike I’ll be waiting at the door before 9:30. Lol.

Thanks JT let me know when you want to come over and see it on the display self. I’m calling this one done now and have it in under glass now. I want to thank everyone here that supported during this build. I’ve already started on my next build and will have a WIP here for it. -
This is one of the many race car haulers that Richard Petty used during his career I have a WIP post on this build with the information on how I built this one. This was my first time to build a NASCAR and it was interesting for me to build. I’m going to add some outside pictures later when the rains stop here. As always your comments are welcome and appreciated.

Thanks Bruce I I was trying to use up all the space. Thanks Jason Thanks Mike. I’m going to need a lot of time to set up all models I’m bringing to the show this year . Thanks Tony I was able to use several old pictures of the truck at different race tracks and made my own. Thanks Carl Thanks Ray l’m posting my finished Richard Petty race car hauler in under glass.

Thanks Carl Thanks Jason Thanks David I started with MCW Petty blue for the first coat and switched to Scale Finishes Petty blue for the second coat. They both spray good but Scale Finishes is a better value.
