  1. I will no longer be able to post replys here as it seems there is a problem with my computer or the forum. I'll state the problem again: When I attempt to post (not quote) a reply I type out the text and hit the post button, hen a green window drops down and little lites blink for whatever and then it stops and the reply is not posted and the post button is gone.
  2. I second the Parks ones. I looked thru my aftermarket items and he does have ones closest to what you want without custom work. look for Pn # 4005
  3. Try RB Motion. If he hasn't already made them at some point he'll do them for you. I do believe I bought some from him that may be similar,
  4. I've always liked this topic whenever/wherever it comes up. Everyone becomes an attorney and someone else's conscience.
  5. Hey Ed! Get up a group of like minded people and start something on your own. You do it like the folks that trade skills and/or services instead of cash.
  6. Someone on another forum said that this was a replica of a Beetle never sold in the U.S .
  7. At the Weldbond site (I googled it) it states that it is water soluble, but not waterproof. Soaking it in water may eventually release it. There is also a warning about using it with concern about hot liquids. Maybe try some hot water?
  8. For me, those kits and some of the other cartoon stuff spelled the end of modeling for me. Real cars were on the horizon, and girls/womem were already there.
  9. Yeah I always get a kick out of one person here who has all kinds of angst about ebay Paypal etc. Some carry on like it's the anti-Christ! To me it'(and lately shopgoodwill) are like a garage sale 24/7 x 52 long.
  10. If you run into a snag in this build, send me a message! I like what your doing and would like to see it done. Will you paint like the 1:1?
  11. YUP! Got a couple complete kits of that and a whole slew of parts. Now how can I replicate that In 1/16th?
  12. Nice work!! Those seats came out real nice. Is that the wood putty for carpeting in the trunk area? Whatever, it looks good too.
  13. Sometimes, and it's getting worse, I type out a reply, and hit the post button and a green window drops down and goes thru a saving post routine, then just quits and the reply hasn't been posted and the post button is gone? Anyone else? Using win 7 and I.E.
  14. There is also filling in the vents and using a decal. It looks better than it sounds.
  15. Yes, I do remember that. I think I just let it go... If I build another, that is the first thing I'd try and fix .Maybe gouge a trough or something.
  16. Yes, real easy. Where's that photo-etch?
  17. My beat results have been shooting a coat of clear on the black ( or dark blue) .
  18. Something I'd like to do. Very nice work!
  19. Thanks Len!
  20. That one looks mighty fine to me! Good Job!
  21. I separated the Headrest from the tailfin/trunk lid.
  22. Thanks for this post. I've only seen one built up in my time, and it was so far from box stock that I think little of the kit parts were used. I have Two of those on the 1/16th pile and this is disappointing to read. Thanks for the heads up.
  23. Always a good look when your building something. Keep at it.
  24. I concur with everyone! This build is just so right in sooo many ways. Good Job!!
