  1. If it sprays water and your paint is as thin as that, it should spray paint. Do you strain your paint?
  2. If your trying to open panels, the P/E ones that slip into a knife handle work well as the thickness of the blade is constant(very thin).
  3. WOW Peter, Your older builds look great! You could have your own show and not leave the house
  4. I have several of the various Ford GT40 kits. One version of the Le mans miniatures kit. It says Goldline on the box. I also have some stuff from CMA. A nice body or two and some parts. Someday these will get built. Early in MCM's life there was a decent article about building the ultimate GT40, you could look up that issue of the mag.
  5. Let's see... Primer gray...Primer white.... Primer tan.. That's it! Primer!!
  6. The ;32 looks like Tamiya light Graphite, that I sprayed a model with.
  7. The REAL problem is your workspace is too neat
  8. WOW! Thanks guys. Just went thru the hook-up and what a difference!! Monitor came right up and to the forum screen.
  9. I'm thinking of hooking up a larger external screen to my laptop. Anyone do this? Any problems? Thank you
  10. It would sure be helpful if there was a photo spread on these like the 250 Ferrari .

  12. It's good to see that you cleaned up the offending bodywork & paint. It irks me to see people start a project with prior paint on it of (possibly) an unknown type. Good luck on the restore.
  13. I like large scale models too, but the realities of for-profit companies negate producing what you want. The Tamiya 1/12th models are decent, not perfect but a start. As an aside, just how much would a suitably accurate 1/16th-1/8th model should sell for?
  14. Yes, very nicely done. Have several in the pile. What were the little details? BTW Red Frog Hobbies is also a good source for HRM stuff.
  15. Just getting that BUILD finished is an accomplishment!! You did a great job too.
  16. Super clean works better when warm...NOT HOT. Try that. It's still my goto stripper. That and Dawn Power dissolver oven cleaner.
  17. I'd suggest you all move here, but then you all would complain about triple digit temps in JJ & A. I don't miss Chicagp weather at all.58 years of that was enough.
  18. Hex shaped rod? I've seen plastic and brass.
  19. I think if I ever tried to build one of these I'd have to add a room to my trailer(add trailer trash snark here). It would be a padded room
  20. That would be cool, I started one in this scale a few years ago. Got the frontend and hood okay, but the rear end... It sleeps with the fishes now.
  21. After looking at those parts closer, it appears that the parts were not primed? If so, the plastic is stained and I've never had any stripper remove that.
  22. Me too!!! love them Ford GT's
