  1. WOW! A little bit of Vargas and Geiger!! nice stuff
  2. Well I hope you try again on that willys. Keep us posted on the '35 Ford too.
  3. I found 4 tires in my tire collection. The name on the sidewall is ENGLEBERT. It appears to be a large scale. Anybody have an idea?
  4. I agree and am interested too. While your carving plastic, how about looking into a '35'36 willys. Just the front end and maybe the hood would do it. Some ask why, and with that, you can do a highboy.
  5. Oh alright, I'll wear robe.
  6. Yeah! And they have the audacity to host it FREE! The nerve....
  7. Well I have a Daytona coupe on order, and some more engine upgrade kits. This will be next after this one is filled.
  8. Hey you guys. Please wear name tags (or funny hats) so I know who you are. I'll be immediately recognizable as I won't be wearing any clothes!!
  9. Bright Red.... Dark Metallic Blue....
  10. Yes!! I will have some tables too!! Bring money
  11. Just picked up on this. Very nice indeed! WOW a Cartoon Box molded in white Johan! Don't get much better
  12. I never really noticed these until lately, and this build piques my interest even more. Very Nice and agree with Harry about the paint! In the 1:1 world been seeing more & more of these at the Bring a Trailer site.
  13. Well James your certainly entitled to your opinion. I'm sure Mr. Kosmoski knows his stuff, but so do the people behind the manufacture of resins such as Freeman supply and Huntsman, who recommend the gas blanket as a way to prolong the useable life of resin. Whether you believe it or not remains to be seen. It's no secret that vacuuming is the best way to remove the air, but that is not readily available. I only added the comment about the gas blanket in addition to what you suggested and one that I too use.
  14. Good tip and one I use. Basically anything you do to purge air from the container works also. Putting in something inert, using a gas blanket like what is sold by some of the resin suppliers and even decanting into a smaller container helps
  15. ""Measuring must be much harder than it seems" For accuracy I always use one of those folding rulers
  16. Modelers who expect injection molded quality in a hand cast resin model. I'm not talking about ACCURACY, just the quality of the casting.
  17. It's amazing that a "person" with 6 posts, no real name and no location could post this pack of ''disinformation" . Just another troll looking for someone to whine to.
  18. Wow That's nice! Stars & Stripes motifs don't usually work well ,but this works!
  19. I thought someone here was doing some LS- something. Maybe check the resin section?
  20. That's great news. Please put me on the list!! Make sure it's the 4th Wednesday of the month.
  21. It's only desirable because you can't readily by it at a reasonable price. Why are we stuck on the past?
  22. AHHH! thanks Robert. If only Matrix would do some of their 1/43 in 1/24 or 1/18 ! A Tatra! Covette Corvair! Mustang station wagon!
  23. Thanks for the info on the Dremel drill press. I was attempting to help out the O.P. on this. One of the other problems is that the holes are drilled on a 90 degree. It would require jigging the wheel at that angle, or having a radial option on the Dremel press. There is also what looks like a bevel as the holes on the 1:1 appear stamped. I am somewhat familiar with machining as I ran large mills, lathes, drill presses and the like. I do have a Sherline lathe and mill, but have not been able to set them up as I just don't have the space since moving to AZ. I also checked the white metal wheels I bought some time ago and they have 16 holes around the circumference, and a five lug pattern. Close but not exact.
  24. If there was a link there it didn't go anywhere for my computer? I did buy the ACME '32 ford coupe a while back.
