  1. I have several of his Chrysler Hemi's . Didn't know he was doing a cammer. I'll have to reconnect with him.
  2. Found one source and answered my own question. There is one in a Precision Miniatures 1/18th Ohio George Willys. I have one sittin' on the shelf that I got cheap and was going to disassemble anyway.
  3. You could try a "tampo print " style of painting by applying an acrylic silver (or whatever color) to some soft rubber and tamp that on the script. Various art gum erasers as a medium to apply the paint to, and then to the model might work and of course some trial and error might be needed.
  4. There are ads here??!!?? I could have sworn I was looking at a tutorial on Solar power for my models!! I'd better up my meds dosage!
  5. You did a great job on that! Is it the one done 1/20th scale?
  6. Like the title says, any kit/resin source?
  7. This is 1/12th right? Looking at this I have seen very tiny coil springs that might work as the conduit, covered with the liquid tape. You might have to stretch out the coil some to get the individual wire to the intended component. This looks similar to the technique to make those hoses (larger) that run to cool brake discs or ram air setups.
  8. You could order some from Price-Driscoll, but you might look in the baking section of your local supermarket and try PAM a spray on cooking substitute for using cooking oil. I don't know if that's available in your country.
  9. Okay, thanks for all the input. I went to HLJ and ordered 2 of the PE sets I wanted . They are backordered and that's fine with me as the model is one that's down the road apiece before I get to it.
  10. I bought 3 spools of wire wrapping wire(that's what Radio Shack called It) comes in red white and blue. You can color the white by just drilling a small hole in a sharpie and pulling it thru the hole.
  11. Yeah I figured that. Not exactly accurate with his information either.
  12. Okay, so I'll ask the question no one else has asked, What ever happened to the person that started all this six years ago?
  13. Making modifications to large scale models is tiring me out. How about anyone know/use a power sander for large flat surfaces? I have a couple of Dremel type tools, but they have their limitations. And I have seen the ones in Micromark's catalog, just would like to know if anyone has used any of them.
  14. Well... I googled SWAMP RAT 19 and did not find anything you could use, BUT the things that DID come up were really strange.
  15. Take one of those ratcheting clamps that will span the can and tip length, Heat and shake the can and put the clamp on Turn the can UPSIDE DOWN and squeeze the clamp until you hear the air hissing out. Hang this somewhere and let it gas out. Carefully tear the cap off the can with large pair of side cutters. Pour out paint in jar. Let it gas out further. Personally, I'm not real sure about Rustoleum on plastic cars
  16. WOW! Nice work all around. The scribing, chassis and suspension work and the creative use of sprue ... fabulous.
  17. That pretty much sums it up for me too. I get tired of the "resumes" posted here also.
  18. When you prepped and marked the direction sheet, what did the different colors denote? I have a keen interest in watching this build. I have this and several other kits that will require CF and have never used them. It looks like you've applied to the bare plastic?
  19. Something that acu-stion produced caught my eye and I went to their site to check it out. Even with an English translation, it is tough to figure, so I checked out HLJ thinking it would be better and it is,however almost everything is OOS or B.O.?? Is acu-stion a viable company?
  20. Addition cure RTV is sometimes referred to as "platinum" cure, and condensation cure is referred to as "tin" cure. Somewhere in Smooth-on's literature is one of those words. HTH
  21. Store at least one part in the mold and all the other advice. I like Casey's the best. You could also make molds with a addition cure RTV which has a greater shelf life as opposed to condensation cure.
