  1. How about the heat radiated from a soldering iron?
  2. Those are the right dimensions, but he wanted the "mailer"type.
  3. Did you see these? Handy if your a travelin' man http://www.uline.com/Product/Detail/S-3273/Literature-Mailers/18-1-4-x-11-3-8-x-4-1-2-Carrying-Cases Or you might have to go custom size. http://custommadeboxes.shoppkg.com/shop/C265.aspx
  4. Try U-Line.com or there are many sellers on ebay selling the baseball card type of boxes, usually with free shipping if you buy certain amount.
  5. The only Wide tire I can think of would be a slick from Revell's F/C or Fuelers.
  6. Looks like Testor's Lime Ice in their one coat line.
  7. Yeah! Me too! Have this one since I can't remember. Hope the decals are still good.
  8. I think that was Cranky who mentioned it. It's a large can for somewhere between 15-20 dollars.
  9. That "view new content" was one tip I got when first being active here and having all the separate categories doesn't really affect me.
  10. I don't let the TYPE of paint dictate what I'll use,I'll spray lacquer, enamel, acrylics what ever.
  11. I got a wad of those hard plastic "straws" that are usually seen on WD 40 cans. I found a drill bit close enough, but a touch larger and drilled out two of the more common tips(One for Tamiya one for most others) then epoxied the straw into the drilled hole. I spray into those small tapered cups with the bottom cut off into a jar. Sometimes though, when I want to save all the contents from a full can,I just rip the top off the can!!
  12. Don't guess! Spray some spoons or scrap plastic and test ,test, and test!
  13. Ask this seller, maybe he can help. http://www.ebay.com/itm/PLASTIC-DISCS-TRANSLUSANT-1-16-THICK-/380444753301?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5894463d95
  14. Nice build, and photos. What were the upgrades? I have a couple of these and they appear very basic.
  15. Very nice duo of Dodges.
  16. Use your favorite paint stripper. Super clean,91% alcohol, easy off, dawn power dissolver,Elo....epsom salt.....
  17. Not sure at all but a wild guess would be the thickness of the paint? The tube acrylics are usually very thick. It could also be a reference to the opacity. Jus' fantasizing here.
  18. I Did! I have the R&R resin piece all primed and ready for paint! Nice shot of the dash. I opened the hood and am thinking of sliding a Cobra chassis and running gear under the body.
  19. If you do,try and get two of their additives for acrylics. One is Slo-dri, a retarder, and the other is Flo-aid or something similar to that (I can't find the bottle right now) that helps when spraying.
  20. At the above mentioned discount store I was employed for a whopping $1.66 an hour. Of course I could go to Carm's in Berwyn and get a huge Italian beef sandwich, fries, and a small coke for $.45!
  21. I worked in a discount store in the Chicago area. I bought three or four Monogram Yellow versions of the Big Deuce for $ 5.95. This would have been 1966-67. These were new still sealed BTW.
  22. Which modeler did all the accurizing to this kit ? Please contact me at: mkucaba@q.com Thank you Mike
  23. If I'm not satisfied with the product I bought, I e-mail the seller and explain why. Their response determines the feedback I leave. I have over 1100 transactions as a buyer mostly and some selling, and can count possibly 10 bad experiences as both. I find that communication before you buy has a lot to do with how well things go.
